What Is 'Lomka'?

Lomka appears to be a background character in an AI-generated poster for Inside Out 2. While we couldn't find the poster where Lomka first originated, we know he began seeing edits from the Russian side of TikTok in early July of 2024. One of the earliest known TikToks featuring the character was posted by Hackentik on July 1st.

The name "Lomka" is a pun. In Russia, the title for Inside Out 2 is "головоломка." Taking away the first half of the title leaves "ломка," which literally translates as "breaking down" or "demolition" but is most commonly used to mean drug withdrawal. Thus, this blue guy is joked about as a personification of the emotion "withdrawal."

How Has Lomka Been Memed?
