Fishtank Live, a 24/7 livestreamed reality series by online provocateurs Sam Hyde and Jet Neptune, has come to an end after six chaotic weeks. After a series of insane challenges, the winner was announced and awarded $35,000 and a place in internet history. Here are the results of the first season of Fishtank.

Who Won 'Fishtank' Season One?

Fishtank Live began on April 18th, 2023 and ended on May 29th. In those six weeks, every room of the competition house was livestreamed on Fishtank.live, allowing viewers to flip between them at their own discretion. The show became massively popular, sparking online fandoms for each contestant, resulting in lots of memes and fan art.

The fish were put through bizarre challenges as the show went on, including elimination challenges. By the last week, only two fish remained: Letty and Josie, both fan favorites. Josie was beloved by many, while Letty became somewhat of a love-to-hate villain for the series. In the last few days of the show, the two remaining fish were locked in a room and put through numerous challenges, culminating in a series of mini-challenges on the final day.

On the final, 42nd day of Fishtank, Sam Hyde's character Jason Goldstriker came into the house and announced that Josie was the ultimate winner of the show, awarding her $35,000. He also awarded Letty $20,000, AKA the "Amazon warehouse worker salary."

When Is 'Fishtank' Season Two?

The end of Fishtank season one has got some of the most dedicated fans of the show eagerly anticipating season two. Those viewers will be happy to know that season two is in the works.

While no official date for season two has been announced, the showrunner, Sam Hyde, made a post on Twitter days before the end of the first season asking for suggestions for the second season. So, it seems to be planned, but no one knows when it will premiere.

The team behind the show is also working on a condensed "final cut" of the footage captured during season one that will present it in a more easily digestible reality show format. Clearly, Fishtank fans have plenty to look forward to in the future.
