See The Winner Of July 2022's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of July 2022 goes to…
Without any doubt the highest-effort meme of the month, Cat Breakdancing is the type of meme only chosen few can make, but everyone can enjoy. The funny dynamic of a silent observer tiredly watching a little creature do its little creature dance applies to so many shows and games that the meme's potential is really limited only by the amount of effort animators are willing to spend on it. Thankfully, the harvest was bountiful this month, and Cat Breakdancing nabs first place with 27 percent of your votes.
Gentelminions / Minion Cult
A meme by the people and for the people, Gentleminions needed a just few more votes to grab the coveted first place, but instead will have settle for runner-up with 26 percent of votes. The evolution of Minions from your mom's favorite Facebook meme into a TikTok sensation took a lot of time and would not have happened without the ironic era, but the results are here: dressing up like Fernanfloo and joining your fellow Minion appreciators for a Minions: The Rise of Gru matinée was a thing to experience this month – with respect for movie workers, of course.

Homelander
Ever since Sigma Memes became a popular thing in 2021, not a month has passed without a new Sigma meme or meme character popping up. With the release of the third season of The Boys, meme makers collectively decided to recognize sociopathic, psychotic supervillain Homelander, masterfully portrayed by Anthony Starr, as a Sigma icon. The month was full of video caption memes starring everyone's favorite psycho, with formats such as Stressed Homelander and Homelander Gets Applause becoming especially popular. Homelander gets third place with 11 percent of your votes, which would definitely upset him, so let's hope he never finds out.
Ship Dynamic
In the fourth place on our poll with ten percent of votes, Ship Dynamic memes are enjoying a mighty comeback they managed to pull off this month. After artist @selpuku tweeted a meme that not only went viral but also sparked a bit of a controversy, other Twitter artists joined in on the trend to bring everyone's attention to various Ship Dynamics — some parodying famous clichés, some referencing memes, and other simply their favorites.
Up Yours, Woke Moralists!
After Jordan Peterson posted a 15-minute rant on July 1st about his Twitter ban on YouTube, it didn't take long for lines from the video to pop up in memes, but "Up yours, woke moralists! We'll see who cancels who" took the cake. Reminiscent of transmissions from Red Alert, the clip spawned both video captions and hilarious edits in which Mr. Peterson swore to cancel everyone standing in his path, so Up Yours gets seven percent of your votes and fifth place on our poll for that. There's a Senator Armstrong version, too!
Venom Dunking on Spider-man
Deez nuts jokes are never dying, and Venom Dunking on Spider-man getting as big as it did last month is the exhibit A evidence for that. There isn't really much to say about the meme except that it comes from an actual cover for a special edition of Venom #35, it goes incredibly hard, it conveys exactly what you need to convey when someone falls for your Deez Nuts / Joe Mama / Ligma joke, and that sixth percent of the votes net Venom the sixth place on the list. Raaaaaagh!

It appears that Venom is actually dunking on six memes that didn't get as much love from you: seemingly endless versions of Little Miss for any occasion (4%), totally normal and completely edible Pink Sauce (3%), the only candidate able to compete with DarkMAGA, Dark Brandon (3%), North Atlantic Fella Organization shitposting, trolling and fundraising for Ukraine (2%), We Will Adopt Your Baby memes about overeager baby adopters, and every astrology believer's favorite test to fail on, Mental Age Test (1%)
