Spreadie Gibbs explained

Why Is 'Spreadie Gibbs' Trending On Twitter? Freddie Gibbs's Baby Mama's Twitter Post Explained

Rapper Freddie Gibbs is trending on Twitter / X after a disgruntled ex-girlfriend posted an explicit image she claims shows the rapper in a compromising position. The post comes nearly a year after Destini Creams first threatened to publish the photo, soon after her split with Gibbs, and mere minutes after Gibbs posted a video with his new girlfriend on his Instagram.

The Valentine's Day post may not be everyone's idea of romance, but Destini Creams nevertheless captioned the image, "spredding love, happy Valentine’s Day πŸ’Œ" Here's why the post caused both Freddie Gibbs and the phrase "Spreadie Gibbs" to trend online.

What Did Freddie Gibbs's Baby Mama Post On Twitter?

Adult star Destini Creams took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to post an unconventional mid-day Valentines's Day greeting on February 14th, 2024. The image showed a man bent over with his hands spreading his bottom open, with the implication being that person pictured was the father of her child, rapper Freddie Gibbs.

The post came mere minutes after Gibbs posted a video with his new girlfriend, Jasmine Grenaway, to his Instagram.

Why Did Destini Creams Post The Image To Her Twitter?

Destini Creams and Freddie Gibbs reportedly had a less-than-amicable separation in May 2023, with Destini claiming that Gibbs "ghosted" her soon after learning that she was pregnant with his child. In fact, this isn't the first time Destini has threatened to release compromising photos of Gibbs, as seen in a May 5th, 2023 Twitter post.

Many fans reacted to the image posted with Destini Creams by mocking Gibbs and calling him "Spreadie Gibbs." The phrase was used as early as May 2023, soon after Destini first threatened to share the photo, and gained renewed popularity after she posted the image in February 2024.

X user @raptalksk quoted a post by Freddie Gibbs back in May 2023 to say, "bro they calling you spreadie gibbs," while another X user simply posted a video saying "Whoever got Spreadie Gibbs trending" "Jail. Straight to jail."

But not everyone was amused by the discussions about Freddie Gibb's intimate photos. X[10] user @bradbramish made a post on February 14th, 2024 criticising Destini Creams's actions.

How Did Freddie Gibbs Respond To Destini Creams's Twitter Post?

Freddie Gibbs posted a clip from rap group Geto Boys's 1991 track "Quickie," where rapper Scarface says, "Had me sayin ****, I grabbed her by the sweater / She wants to lick my booty, I guess I betta let her."

X user @ChaosNanarchy posted a now-deleted clip from Freddie Gibbs's Instagram where he responds to the news about his privates being on the "timeline," saying, "Look. Happy GALentines Day b****, be with the girls."
