About

Glitch_Prod's "Stimming" Video refers to discourse about a viral video posted by the official Glitch Productions Twitter / X account showing three people holding up plushies and repeating the word "stimming," a term for repeated physical behaviors typically associated with autism and ADHD. The plushies are characters from Glitch Production shows, including Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus, Serial Designation N from Murder Drones and Melancholy Hill from The Gaslight District. The people in the clip are voice actors Lizzie Freeman, who voices Pomni, and Michael Kovach, who voices N. The video garnered attention in late April 2025 after it ignited a debate about acceptable and unacceptable displays of autistic traits, with some internet users criticizing it for supposedly trivializing involuntary "stimming," and others criticizing the backlash for overreacting to a light-hearted video.

Origin

Glitch Productions is an Australian independent animation studio best known for making shows like SMG4, The Amazing Digital Circus, and Murder Drones.

On April 27th, 2025, the official Glitch Productions X[1] account posted a video showing Lizzie Freeman (who voices Pomni) and Michael Kovach (who voices N) holding plushies of their respective characters and repeating the word "stimming." The video gathered over 2 million views and 23,000 likes in three days.

"Stimming" is short for self-stimulating behaviors and is characterized by repetitive movements. Many individuals on the autism spectrum, in particular, engage in routine stimming.[2]

Spread

On April 29th, 2025, X[3] user @spogebobpant quoted the aforementioned video, writing, "being autistic means I'm being unfairly grouped with these quirkchungus homunculi," and gathering over 24,000 likes in a day. The tweet notably references the Quirk Chungus meme.

However, other X[5] users pushed back against this characterisation of the Glitch Productions "Stimming" video as it continued to spark discussions amid its virality.

For example, X[5] user @ThatRabidDog posted a meme on April 29th, 2025, showing an autistic person getting unreasonably angry at a person a little more autistic than them. The post gathered over 28,000 likes in a day.

X user @ThatRabidDog quoted the video of Glitch Productions voice actors playing with plushies and repeating the phrase "stimming" by pushing back against those criticizing the video. The user posted a meme showing an autistic person getting mad at someone a little bit more autistic than them.
