Pretty much what the title implies. Use this thread to discuss all things cosplay, whether it's pictures of you in cosplay, finding a cosplay you would like to do, or discussing tips and tricks for making your cosplay.

I just went to Animethon in Edmonton over the weekend and had a super fun time. I did a cosplay of Dr. Stein from Soul Eater and apparently it turned out pretty well because I had a lot of people asking me if they could get a picture. The costume got even more popular when I met a group of three more cosplayers dressed as Maka, Kid, and Crona from Soul Eater. We hung out for the last day and posed for many photos.

(That's me on the right)

(Pic of Dr. Stein for reference)

In all seriousness though, I do actually love to cosplay at cons. Usually I try to go as best as I can in both costume and props, I have a ton of fun with making both.

Ex:

My Medic Cosplay Anime Boston 2014

And my Sabo cosplay Anime Boston 2015

I can give tips with making props if anyone's interested.

I also found these two guys at the convention. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them together.

Praise it bitches:

Git Gud (note that his sword says Bass Cannon)

While there aren't any conventions in my country that I've heard of, there is an entire event called Kurentovanje (basically parade where we cosplay).

I cosplayed couple of times (I was Engineer from TF2 once, but I won't show the pics).

I really like Ryuko cosplayers. They are rather cute.

(not me, btw)

Wow. She is really cute.

I'm thinking for next year's convention I might do a cosplay of lancer from Fate/Stay Night. Most of the costume would be pretty easy, just a blue morph suit with some added details. The tricky parts would be his spear and shoulder pads.

I want to one day Dress up as anti-mage from dota 2 and troll league of legend cosplayers at local conventions. Buying a costume somewhere would be my only option since i cant make costumes. Also i have a friend of mine who has a Gf who does movie makup, so doing face paintings would be easy.

With Room Block rates for ACEN slowly approaching, the time is coming to find an idea for a cosplay next year. Much of my fun is building and going as something people want to constantly stop to photo.

'Course my dilemma is finding something thats both easily recognizable and fairly relevant, which in that case I can't really think of any for a male, in sharp contrast to the insane amount of females introduced this year that I'm hoping to see done from monsters to squids.

And no, while flattering if insisted, even as twig-bodied as I am, I don't think I can pull off a passable genderbend, let alone a good one~ .

If there's any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

EDIT: Though google, I actually found a photo of my cosplay last year, which I do want to tweak and bring along again as an extra, as it was really fun when I could handle it for long periods, just hoping the inflatable suit still works after the humidity of wearing it for hours.

Well if you want something that'll have people stopping you for photos then I can tell you from experience that Dr. Stein is incredibly popular. If you want something a bit newer though then perhaps Dio from Jojo.
