Still weary, Estelle explores the hallways she found herself in. Calling out to see if anyone is there, and trying to remember how she got here. The lanterns here means it's well lit so she doesn't take out her flashlight just yet…

She grips her charm as she continues down the hallway.

@Victor and Emily: the hallway that the two of you are walking through are similar to the one that Logan walked through but instead of seeing a library in the end the two of you still have to continue on to see the end, on a more positive end it would appear that for the most part nothing unusual can't be seen, heard or felt.

@Lincoln: As Lincoln rest he checks again to see if there is anything to help him with the scratch and marks left by the beast that he encountered, to his luck he has with him a bottle of medical alcohol and medical wrappings. After going through the brief painful experience of treating his wounds Lincoln felt like resting for few seconds longer. However sees much to his surprise a rat of all things running towards him. Once the rat was close it seems to stare at him, Lincoln wondering if he should ignore it or make it go away, but almost like it can read his mind the rat soon ran off, stopping in moments to look behind at Lincoln, almost as if wanted to know if Lincoln was following it.

@Estelle: As Estelle continue to walk through the halls she occasionally sees something moving from the corner of her eyes, but once she looks finds nothing. She soon began to feel cold and just like with Emily, Victor and Vinny, the feelings of anxiety, paranoia and fear began to course through her body. She soon begins to hear noises but at first it sounds almost like static but soon the noise changes to that of people sing a rather in a choir, though Estelle can't tell what language they are speaking in.

Houston, almost scared to death by this Older fellow, begins to ask.
"What do you mean important items, also how the hell did ya get here without me knowin'… Nice suit though, but uh, what does that there door lead to?"
Houston didn't feel comfortable in the room with the man, but he trusted his word that he wouldn't be harmed.

The old man chuckled for a bit. "It's been a long time since I received a complement so for that you have my thanks." said the man that Houston now notice has a strange accent. "As for the items well think of them as keys, keys that can possibly lead you out of this estate. Of course the estate won't let you easily get these keys, it will make sure that you will never get them without first going through unimaginable suffering, assuming it doesn't just kill you." he said stopping for a moment to cough.

"Sorry about that this place doesn't have any hired help to clean the dust in here. As for this door well… that real depends of the estate really. As you already figured out this place isn't one bound by the conventional laws of reality as we know it, that creature that you encounter just being a small example. As for me being here well let's just say that too is another example of what I mean by this place not being bound to the laws of reality."

"So pal, would ya mind getting outta the way, I mean no offense, but if the only way to get outta here is by finding these keys, then I best start lookin'. Oh, I forgot to ask you your name pal, my name is Houston."
Houston starts feeling his back getting sore and sit down on the ground for a bit. He becomes mad at himself for making his request just to sit down and immediately gets back up.

Lincoln Decides to follow that rat but before doing that he will try mark the path so he could comeback later ,he uses the pieces of candles scatered to do that

@Houston: "My name isn't important now, after all chances are our first meeting may be our last. A little warning before you leave, those keys aren't the only items with unusual abilities in this place. Some of the other items can prove themselves to either be useful to you or harm you but none of them will be the keys that you will need to leave. The only way to know for sure that you have one of them in your hand feel it calling out for the others, for all of the keys are calling for their reunion." said the old man has he moved his wheel chair away for Houston to walk to the door. Just he was leaving the room the old man spoke one last time. "be careful out there, not only can this place drive men insane for some it can also bring out the worst in them. Also be aware that you aren't the only one looking for those keys."

@Lincoln: As Lincoln follow the rat he begins to wonder what did he do in his past life to cause him to be stuck in a manor like this with a bio mechanical beast and following a rat down a broken down hallway. The rat than turns to a room and as Lincoln walks in he sees on a wall that is still standing several graffiti symbols on the wall. Most of the symbols Lincoln don't know but he sees that one above the rest of them is painted white and as a circle of lights around it almost representing light shining off the symbol, strangely he also saw white chains coming down from the symbol. The one below is black and it has black chains coming up and fire surrounding the symbol. The one in the middle is gray in color and it had a simply circle around it, almost like a shield against the two chains. Lincoln however soon so an even smaller symbol within the gray one, as he looked closely he can't help but to think that it looks like a badly draw house.

@Vinny: As Vinny duck down to try and find cover he found that the only source of cover was an old table which results in a old flower vase to come crashing down the ground as Vinny uses it for cover, though since the table is made of old and possibly rotting wood it's merits has a shield is as effective has his own clothing. Soon Vinny heard the sound he dreaded the most, the shadow being firing off the shot gun, and somehow on his chest he feels the pain of being shot there, however has he grasp his chest he can finally no blood and on his chest yet he still feels the pain. If he looks out he will find that the shadow being is now gone but now he can hear laughter in the darkness

"Victor, i don't what to do, but i know what i want" Emily said while shaking.
"i want to leave this horrid place, but i don't anything about it, please Victor lead the way, i don't want to lead us to something horrible."

Logan spent a good amount of time perusing the library for more information, but the indexing system, if there even was one, would be impossible to understand without knowing the alphabets these books were written in. Sadly, Logan knew none of these languages, and settled for simply looking with mild curiosity at the collection when an idea came upon him. "I bet if I started a fire in this mansion the magical elements of it would be destroyed," he thought, "or at least reveal their intentions in keeping me here." He looked around for any light sources which were within his reach, below shoulder-height, that might be able to help him in his quest for arson.

"Alright missy, just, uh, um, calm down, I'm sure we'll be alright if we go down this hallway."
Taking out his flashlight and shining down the hallway, Victor, with Emily beside him holding on to his arm, begins to walk further along into the hall.
"Eh, I think the other bloke, whatshisname, I'unno, might've came down through here. Not sure. But if we find him, ay, that's another person who we can rely on, hey?"
Victor laughs quietly and wearily. He is still haunted by the screams and shouts he experienced earlier, but he steels his thoughts so he can focus on getting himself and Emily to safety.

"Victor, do you think this might be hell?" Emily said so slowly.
"i mean, well i'm not the most innocent, and what i felt…there was very familiar." Emily sounds terrified that the fact that this might be Hell. that this might just be punishment for her sin… that baby. Emily was curious of the taste, she just wanted to know. "What am i saying, maybe this is some stupid drug induced Crack house."

As Lincoln observed the drawings he decided check if could find anything interesting in the room other than that painting ,he notices that the rat is nowhere to be found,he asks himself:

- why the rat brought me here? It's not a trap because when he was following the rat i was paying attention to my surroundings.

-there is something in this room that can help me,i am going to search this room and that painting with more concentration.I also need to get back to the medical room, fortunately i have found enough candles to mark the path that followed the rat

@Houston: Hearing the old man's warning Houston opened the door and walked into what room was awaiting him, never noticing that the old man is now gone. The room that Houston found himself in was surprising for him, so much that he had to pinch himself several times just to know that he was really awake and not asleep. He saw trees growing in the room towering above him, infact as he looks up he can barely see the ceiling as the thick canopy covers it. The room itself was humid and as he walked around he began to hear what one would hear if they were in a forest; chirping bugs and the occasional flap of birds seemed to be his only company in this room. Of course he was disturbed on the fact that he can hear the sounds of bugs and other animals yet can't see any of them, not even the mosquito that flew onto his arm.

@Logan: "I wouldn't do that if I were you. last sorry sod that tried to do that is still roaming this place as burn up shell of his former self." Logan heard behind him, turning around he sees the same old man that Houston meet. "Even if you did set this place on fire unfortunately it won't do you any good since the estate won't let you leave and it can repair from any damages caused by the fire, unlike the human being."

@Victor and Emily: The two of them soon find a door at the end of the hall which after hearing the strange noises created by the shadow beings behind them they quickly open and went inside. The room they found had no source of light other than the light of the moon that was shining through the sole window in the room. The room itself appears to be an attic of some sorts with large mirrors all over the place.

@Lincoln: As Lincoln looked in the room to find if anything else in the room other than the drawing, though the drawing was on his mind as he try to figure out what it means. As he looked in the room he soon finds something hidden in a mass of cobwebs. A black, rusty, shackle with a small chain still attached to it. Along with the shackle he also find a green jewel that seems to have a strange feeling the more he held the jewel. Lincoln than hears someone clapping, turning around he sees a man wearing business suit on the entrance of the room. "Congratulation Mr. Van Bloom you are one step closer to finally leaving this place, you even have two artifacts with you that can help you out."

Lincoln was stunned ,how did he enter the room and making no noise at all? That man who sneaked on him could have him killed so easily if he wanted to so he had to remain calm and trust the man for now and talk to him and be prepared for anything. But Lincoln does not know what question to make first since there is many of them.
.

@Lincoln: "Come on Mr. Van Bloom I know you have a lot of questions that you want answers to and while I can't give you all of them right now I can at least answer a few of them." the man said moving his feet up to let the same rat that lead Lincoln into the room to come in. "Ah the key I bet you probably want to know about that. You see the only way for you to leave is to find a series of artifacts in this estate that take you out of the estate once they are all collected. Two other people who came at the same time as you already know about them and you Mr. Van Bloom are already ahead of them with having one on your hand." said the man pulling out two cigars from his pocket. Lighting them both up he hand one to Lincoln.

"You see though there is a problem with those keys, once a person uses them to leave this place the others are trapped in here, doomed to be the play things of this accursed manor. Infact even know with you having that piece those old souls are now awakening, most likely trying to find you and the key that you have. But you don't need to worry about me, I for one am here to be a sort of guide for you."

Lincoln takes the cigar but he does not smoke it
-So… i will leave Hudson behind… said a sad Lincoln even tough he just meet him he does not deserve trapped in here ,like any other person who is also in the same situation like him .
-Please there must be a way to save everyone, this situation is unfair! And why i was chosen to this?!!

"If Coldhill Estate refuses to let me leave, then, what, I just make the best use of my time here? Read a book, or try to, until I die? What are we doing here?" Logan asked the old man, ignoring the fact that he appeared in the library without warning or announcement. "And who are you, exactly?"

@Lincoln: "Unfortunately Mr. Van Bloom there isn't much of a choice on the matter, there can only be one person to leave here alive. As for why you were chosen the truth is your weren't. The estate simply picked you and the others at random, there is no dark destiny or prophecy here Mr. Van Bloom, just bad chance and luck." said the man stopping so he can smoke. "However I have heard of a room in here that contains a ritual that supposes to let out more than one person here, but not only do you need to find it but you must go through several trails to even get it."

@Vinny: Vinny was still in the same hall still being laugh at by the beings lurking in the dark. As Vinny walked through the door that was originally blocked off to him. The new room that Vinny entered looked like a normal hotel lobby decorated for Halloween. The decor resembled the Halloween aisle of a K-Mart, complete with sheet ghosts and animatronic zombies that gave a static growl when you passed by. He can see the door leading it another room being covered in fake spider web with plastic spiders and bugs on it.

@Logan: " I suppose you could sit around and read some of the books here, though most of them won't do you any good since there is no way for you to translate or even understand most of the languages on them, not without getting a specific item for that at least." said the old man moving his wheel chair closer to Logan to give him a journal and a key with a strange purple ethereal glow around.

"This old journal should provide of some help to you. As for why you are here well you wouldn't be the first one to say those words and quite frankly I still haven't figured out that answer for myself either." the old man soon moved away from him and turned around to look at the shelves. "Though to get out of here you will need a set of well I guess you can call them keys, even though only one of them looks like a key." he said muttering the last part of his sentence.

"If you manage to find them all than you have a chance at leaving this estate."

Last edited Jun 24, 2015 at 03:20PM EDT

"Keys eh?" Logan looked at the glowing key he had been handed. "Like, this one specifically?" He sat, flipped open the journal, and began to thumb through its leaves.

@Logan: "Yes like that one, though that one is the old ball since the others do not look like actual keys. The keys all yearn for reunion with their kin and if you clear your mind you will be able to feel it. If you get close to another key than the key will began to react." said the old man who frowned.

"However now that you have this key things will begin to change now. Before you only had to deal with the estate but now the past visitors who were taken to the estate and never left will now begin to appear to get the key that you have, most likely they will kill just to have the chance of finally being free." he said moving to one of the tables and picking up a old dust covered book, flipping it to a random page. "As for my name well like I told to another fella trapped in here it isn't important now, maybe I tell you my name if live long enough. I would also suggest to far more careful in these halls, not only do you have to worry about the estate's powers but the other forces that are now roaming the halls as well."

Houston continued to walk in this forest room, looking for any signs of a key, or just something that caught his eye. It wasn't long however before he began hearing voices, all repeating the words "Subject #5A" "Indoctrination" and "Failure." Houston began to wonder if his sanity was truly failing or if her was remembering something.

Lincoln tries to smoke his cigar after doing it he was coughing since he wasn't accustomed to it but he manages to talk :
-What kind of trials?(coughing) I want to know this other option since the first you gave me I will be up against past souls and the other two people who knows that to get out the artifacts will be needed.

OOC: Well I did say that I was allowing for only two people to get in late and you would be the second so congrats to you for getting in before someone else. By aware that your character will not know what is going on once they appear in the estate.

@Houston: Houston began to slow down has the voice soon began to be accompanied by visions. The visions were flashes that leave as quickly as the came. He saw doctors with medical masks staring down at him will he was either lying down or sitting, x ray images of his brain, a white room with nothing but white bed, table and chair. Each voices repeated the words that he was hearing along with names of the doctors involved and seeing images of men in black watching him from the corner of the room as doctors performed experiments on him. Houston soon began to feel syringes piercing through skin, most either on his arms and neck. However he soon feel down screaming as he feels a strong current of electricity coursing through his body. He doesn't feel the invisible bugs beginning to crawl on top of him.

@Lincoln: "Well most of the trail from what I heard is avoiding traps and creatures created by the estate. The second option is a arcane ritual design to release the victims trapped in Coldhill, however it does not release them physically, instead it only releases their souls from both their bodies and from this estate. Unfortunately for you this ritual will not work for the one performing it."

-So..to save one I have to….sacrifice one person?
Lincoln kneels down crying realizing that he cannot save anyone but himself since he finds morally cruel to sacrifice someone for some one he wants to rescue. Now he just hopes that Houston is dead so can't face him.
-This is cruel!!! (snobs)

@Lincoln: "Yes, yes, it is a cruel turn of events Mr Van Bloom but those are the rules in Coldhill. Do you know that if someone dies in Coldhill there body and mind belongs to the estate, to be used however it wants to use them?" said the man turning around so that Lincoln can only see his back, that way he doesn't see the man smirking. "Tell me which fate is worse, death or being an eternal servant to this estate?"

@Houston: As Houston writhes on the ground oblivious to the invisible insects crawling all over him he never notices that one of the bugs is infact visible, crawling on his chest is a red scarab beetle. The beetle seems to be alive but on closer inspection one can find that the beetle is in reality a machine. Once it crawls directly on his hand the beetle stops and becomes still, a soft red glow emitting from it's body.

In the room footsteps can be heard through the bug and animal calls, as the steps reach closer to Houston so to does the sound of metal scraping on the floor.

Yay, I got in!

Houston perks up, heart racing as he utters a forced phrase,
"It can't be…"
Houston then breaks out into a sprint, trying to find a door anywhere to get away from the patient. He still questions what had happened back when he was on the ground.

@Lincoln: "I'm glad we are able to see what is the greater evil in here. Now Van Bloom you must leave this place, cause I have a feeling that your infernal friend is now in these very halls. Keep those those items close to you and as for the painting that I will share along with where to find the instructions for the ritual but for now you must leave now." he said as from a distance a loud crash can be heard.

@Houston: Houston ran as fast as he could away from the patient, in his hand he held tightly to the beetle that is now a key. As he rain through the forest room he felt all sorts of bugs stinging and biting at him even though he can't see them. Just as he sees the door Houston tripped on one of the vines on the floor and twisted his ankle, screaming in pain. He stays still so has not to cause himself anymore pain but soon he heard the patient coming from behind, in desperation he began to crawl.

@Penny: The still sleeping Penny was laying on top of a stone altar with chalk circles and symbols around the altar. Candles provide the only source of lights and the room smelled of incense. The walls had more symbols draw on them and animal skulls hung up, there were even eldritch effigies in the room with the tallest being right next to the altar. In all the room appeared to be a classical ritual chamber.

-My infernal friend ?
Lincoln Hears the crash and then realizes that he was talking about that racist beast
puts in his pockets the shackle with the rusty chain and the jewel as he was doing it he asks the man:
-That thing was not created by house ? Why is it related to me?And you have to also explain me the ritual! Please make him at least stop advancing just for now so you can explain everything!

@Vinny: The room that Vinny entered he was greeted by fog the moment he opened the door. The room definitely upped the ante in terms of technology. Not only was there a fog machine hidden somewhere in the room, but a bats hung from the ceiling and flew in a circle. He also heard a soundtrack being played throughout the room. Stepping over a few toy rats that wheeled around and Vinny walked with a puffed chest across to the next area, confident that the worst was over.

However just as he was about to open the door two things happened, first was that a feeling of dread came over him just as his hand was close to touching the door knob and second he heard his own voice, screaming in pain. Looking back he found a dummy made to look and dress like him hanging on the gallows, surrounded by other dummies in made to look like his past victims all laughing and cheering at the Vinny dummy's demise.

@Lincoln: "You will find the answer to that one soon enough Van Bloom but for now you must leave, there is a scroll that will explain the ritual much better than what I can do." said the man stopping as both he and Lincoln heard the beast roaring. "As for stopping it's advances I don't need to do that, the estate will be doing that, it doesn't like having other powers interfering with it's work, the best example of the estate fighting back is making your knife be able to harm that demon." They both heard walls collapsing down follow by the demon roaring out again.

-OK i will leave this room and search for the other two artifacts
Lincoln was about to exit the room but he turns around and says :
-Even knowing that you are on the side of the people who put me in side of this house…thank you.
Lincoln walks way from the room, checks which side he came from by looking for the pieces of candles he left behind and runs to the opposite off them as ran he remembers that now he will be up against the dead and the living ,so he must be very careful now .

"Okay, um, at least we're safe from the… whatever those things are, in here at least. I hope."
Victor knew that he and Emily couldn't stay in this room forever, they needed to get moving.
"Alright, let's just maneuver our way through here, and careful, don't break the mirrors. I have a feeling something bad might happen if we do. Either that or whoever owns this damned house might think we're robbers, heh."

As Houston crawls away from the patient, he begins to wonder to himself, just exactly did this thing have in relation to him, was this thing a creation to the Estate to torment him. Houston also tried to remember the look of his family's face, in case he meet his demise here, alone…

@Lincoln: Following his way back to where he started Lincoln can smell the stench of decay and sulfur, letting him know that the creature was here. Fearing now that maybe it would be close he began to run to the nearest door he can find which wasn't that far from him. However when he open the door he find to his horror a black abyss awaiting for him, the sudden stop he was force to make as made him unbalance and if he doesn't regain it soon he will fail, possibly to the abyss.

@Penny: Sees an open iron door. With nothing much for her to do she walked to the door and sees stone stairs, walking to the top the scent of incense soon fades away has a new smell takes over, but for she can't tell what it is. Penny soon reaches to another door and when she opens it she sees that behind the door is the hallway that resembles that of a hospital's hallway. You hear a man screaming from somewhere in the halls follow by a door slamming.

@Emily and Victor: The two of you walked around the mirrors to avoid touching them just to be safe and rest near the sole window in the room. The two of you look out the window and see that it was a full moon but for some reason the two of you had a feeling that something was off about the moon. The night sky had nothing else but the moon and below they couldn't see the ground do to the fog that is outside.

@Houston: Houston tried he best to crawl as fast from the patient but to his despair the creature was faster than him. Houston soon felt sharp pain throughout his body as the old ax wielded by the patient hit on the back, cutting through the skin and be embed into his spinal core. Houston no longer being able to move from the waist down was now in the mercy of the patient has it now drags him on the floor, grabbing tightly on his ankles. The two soon found the door out of the room fully open, showing an operating table. Houston tried his best to free himself from the creatures grasp but it was all in vain as he let's out his final scream as they both enter the room, the door slamming shut, bring silence to the forest room. Lincoln only had a brief moment to remember his family in the end.

OOC:16 – 9 – 20 – 20 – 9=56 if i won the following will be Lincoln's actions , otherwise i am probably dead .

Lincoln manages to regain balance and starts running again.
As he ran fast as he can ,he remembers that the man called that thing a demon so he must find something holy to kill it or at least injury it.

Last edited Jun 25, 2015 at 02:28PM EDT

@Lincoln: Your search to find any holy objects in your current location hasn't turn out with anything. The stench of the demon soon starts to grow stronger as it get closer to you. You soon find another room with a door, the room itself was filled debris ranging from broken pieces of the wall and ceiling, broken furniture to even junk stuffed into trash bags. You can hear the demon now getting close, to close for you to risk going into the door now, you decide to hide from demon.

@Emily: Just as Emily said those words she heard a door creaking open follow by the recognizable cries of a baby that seems to follow her where ever she goes in the estate. If she goes to where the cries are coming from she would find a door open to an abandoned nursery that would look familiar to her.

@Penny: The halls seem to have grown eerily quiet after the scream that Penny heard. The hallway had several wheel chairs and medical beds out on the halls while inside the patient rooms it looked as though who ever use to be in there left and never returned. Just than the lights in the halls suddenly spring to life, right at the same time Penny saw something move from the corner of her eyes, leaving a cold hill along with a feeling of paranoia and fear.

@Emily: You search the nursery but you couldn't find the baby anywhere. After she checked the crib for a third time you saw behind you a baby carriage, the cries are now louder. As you walk close to the carriage a large dark purple cloak fell on top of the carriage, you saw that the cloak had a lot of stitches, holes and patches most likely being very old and worn. Soon the cloak rose up and from the sleeves six black wooden arms came out, on it's back four wings, made of black feathers, wax and other items that one would use to create fake wings.

You look at the hood of the being but found nothing was there. The being moved like a puppet being pulled by strings, what Emily can't see on the creature that there are indeed strings on it, strings of space and time holding it up and helping it to move. On the hands of the creature curved blades materialized into it's hands, the baby within continue to cry as a music box in the room began to play a lullaby

Emily tries to find where the Lullaby is coming from, but is also feels as if she continues this, she might be in dire danger. however Emily NEEDS to find this baby, she needs to know if this is what she thinks it is.

@Lincoln: You hide behind a broken sofa. You soon hear the demon walking into the room, you took a peak and saw it walking on it's two feet, you notice that the shape of the demon was almost humanoid built. The demon soon begin to smell the room and made a disturbing smile as it turns it's head towards the sofa, Lincoln was able to quickly hide back in before the demon can look at him. Lincoln soon heard the demon walking to the sofa and after it was standing in front of the sofa he heard nothing else.

For a while the room was quiet and Lincoln both curious and worried wonder where the demon was looked above him, and to his horror saw the demon looking down on him. The next thing that happen was the demon garbing the sofa and throwing it across the room and it grabbing Lincoln by the neck and lifting him off the ground. "How unfortunate for you Shaka but I can smell your blood, you tried your best covering the scent up but in the end I can still smell it."

@Emily: The being soon started to move towards Emily, it's arms swinging it's blade like a mad man not caring from anything cuts in it's way.

OOC: Both of you roll.
