I am getting pretty heavy into Dota 2, would like to know if anyone else wants to join up sometime.

I play League of Legends, I played Dota 2 for a while, but considering id never played a MOBA before, i gave up. Luckily i had a couple of nice friends who taught me LoL. Also, Gangplank master race, me hearties

I am considering Lol.

Personally Russia Dota 2 is in this state.

I am gonna have to learn Russian or gtfo.

I am gonna download lol now.

DoTA 2 and DC Infinite Crisis are the 2 MOBAs I play.

I only play Dota since my friend got me into it.

I feel like the only person in the world who actively plays both sports games and online strategy games…

Hey Sweatie, what's your favourite hero at the moment? I'd say mine is Phantom Lancer right now.

The kind of player who can either help a ton or troll a ton, lol.

It is always nice to be able to teleport your team mates to places they should be.

I'm a LoL player myself. Or at least I am whenever my internet and the EUW servers let me.

I've mostly been sticking to playing ARAM with my girlfriend and some other friends, since all the metasheeping and people blaming others on Rift gets on my nerves.

Never really thought about playing Dota though. The only PC game I played before LoL was Fallout 2, so I'm pretty sure the difficulty and micromanaging of Dota would be far too much for my poor brain.

I doubt my laptop and internet could handle Dota either.

If the computer was made prior to the year 2000 it will like be most likely compatible with Dota 2. If I am correct Dota 2 is Source Engine, which must be like 6-8 years old now.

i played both games. but after i was introduced to dota2, i can't stop…

even though both are good games, for me, it's 10x better than LoL.

spells are not spammble, abilities do tons of damage, killing creeps feels rewarding, all the heroes are completly uniqe (in LoL, almost all the ADC's play the same way) and of course the grahpics and sound are amazing. also, the player base is not full of underage kiddies spamming 'noob' every 2 seconds.

Zhavarko the witch doctor, bristleback and razor are my favorites so far.

Bristle should be renamed Diamond ass, he's like the ultimate tank.

which makes him the troll character of DoTa. it's so fun to get people to 10% health from chasing me, and then turn around and whack them dead to the ground.

it's like Singed, my favorite character from LoL, he can make a poison trail come from behind him, so he litirally kills people by making them chase him…

Oh god why. The only way that could be worse is if he had Volibears passive. You get him below 30% health, he heals 30% of his health. That 6 warmogs mundo, or refresher orb tidehunter trolling right there.

he bonus health equal to 25% of his bonus mana! rod of ages is like a warmongs that gives AP for him…

No the ultimate tank is Ursa, everybody knows that.

No, I mean singed+bristle. Shit would be cheesy as fuck, and if you really want to troll to the max with singed build a Rylai's crystal scepter.

Ursa is in no way a tank. he is a CARRY. all his abilities are for damage.

in fact, without lifesteal ursa is very squishy

I finally managed to get pretty decent at Dota practicing against bots while my internet was out. My favorite hero is easily Slark. Escape characters are great fun, and Slark is one of the best at slipping in and out of bad situations.

Nukers are pretty fun too, so Pugna and Tinker fall close behind Slark.

How many of you guys play Invoker? What are your favorite builds with him? I've been trying to mess around with a Wex build focusing on ganking with alacrity and cold snap. I read somewhere that Wex builds are good in team fights too due to the initiation potential of a long-distance tornado, meteor, and a well timed EMP's mana drain, but I haven't had time to try that out yet.

Also, in case any of you haven't seen these already:

I play support invoker, srry. It's pretty awesome buffing your carry to be honest.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of Dota heroes would you recommend for a player like me? I thought I might wanna check out some gameplay videos out of interest when I get a chance.


When it comes to League, I've been enjoying long range mages like Xerath and AP Kog'Maw, but I also like mages like Morgana, Brand, and Fiddlesticks.

Or I could just say I like mages in general, and hate up close and personal bruiser champs like Renekton, Shyvana, and Olaf. I also dislike AD carries greatly.

Another type of characters I really enjoy, are the ones that live through their teammates. Something like Lulu, Sona, and Nami. Or maybe just supports in general.


I still think my internet connection, micromanaging skills, and keyboard mechanics are too bad for me to play Dota properly, but I'd like to find out more about the game, in case I ever get the chance to try it out.
