Overview

Lizzo and Lana Del Rey TikTok Feud refers to a purported online beef between American singers Lana Del Rey and Lizzo. The rumor was started by the X / Twitter page Drop Pop in mid-November 2024, which posted a series of fake TikTok comments showing Lana and Lizzo arguing. The viral incident also sparked a heated discourse among the artist's fandoms in which they posted jokes making fun of the fake feud.

Background

On November 13th, 2024, the satirical X[1] page @DropPopNet uploaded a fake screenshot interaction on a TikTok comment section between the American singers Lana Del Rey and Lizzo. The image (seen below) shows fabricated comments as if the artists were arguing online, with one attributed to Lizzo saying, “I’d like to see you back on the charts,” while Lana supposedly replies, “I would love to see you run a treadmill.” The post (seen below) amassed more than 20 million views and 388,000 likes in a day.

Online Reactions

Online, the fake feud ignited a series of jokes, parodies and ironic memes between Lizzo and Lana's fans. For instance, on November 14h, 2024, TikTok[2] user @jadendelika posted a video of his reaction while reacting to the fake comments of Lizzo and Lana's TikTok beef. The video (seen below) received roughly 40,000 plays and 1,300 likes in a few hours.

Some X users also posted memes pretending the feud was actually real, as X user @greatestptl[3] uploaded a video on November 14th, 2024, captioning it, "Lana Del Rey leaving TikTok after ending Lizzo," which amassed more than 9,000 views and 130 likes in a few hours.
