This isn’t the first time that the Internet has made an unlikely star out of someone who was never seeking fame in the first place. Some, like Star Wars Kid, Technoviking, and Boxxy eschew their fame; preferring privacy over recognition.

Most of y'all have cameras on your phone and I'm sure some people use them more frequently than others, for the happy times or the weird, like when Iyanna saw the fight happening on the bus.

do we need some sort of social conventions (as in "common sense") that will remind us when it's proper/improper to expose fellow individuals in public sphere? or should the internet always remain one nation under lulz, devoid of moral dilemmas?

EBM story leaves a lot of questions for us. discuss thems.

To make matters worse, the little money that he has made in recent months has cost him the Section 8 housing certification that he depended on.

At KYM we sometimes use the Jamie Dubs assertion that going along with the joke is the best way to go. Of course, that assumes that you know what you're doing and know how to make sense of the attention.

The case of Thomas Bruso is more like a band that gets signed to a bad contract just when it starts to get famous. I wonder if we'll see more of this in the coming years (although hopefully not as tragic.)
