We wouldn't care if memes were mainstream so long as every 10 seconds someone doesn't go "HURR DURRR MUDKIPZ" or "IMA FIRING MY LAZER" or something along the lines of boxxy. What I am saying is everything is fine in moderation so please make sure you don't overuse things a bit. That's how most memes became stale and unfunny and the other 10% of memes were never funny to begin with so w/e.

While I must admit I'm very pleased to see, FINALLY, someone who seems to want to really start a "peaceful" argument about memes and this website without any snarky thought or troll purpose, there are still things that are bothering me so, if you please wouldn't mind answering a few questions…?

1 – …and you are in no way stealing a meme because it is a thought not a thing. First of all, while it is indeed one of the reasons, do you understand that this is not the MAIN reason, overall ? I mean, people here have just created a database for memes, based more on facts than satire, in a kind of an Internet sociology analyze, even if we try to stay on an humorous side, because 90% of memes are made of humor first.

2 – Let's talk about the T-shirts, because it seems the main "problem" lies down there. Many people have surely made their own t-shirt based on memes, or have bought those from ED or some other places, because they find it cool. As far as I can say, the T-shirts here (not really the buttons but still) aren't copypasta from the memes. The longcat one isn't the picture of longcat, the "O rly" isn't the original owl image… Anyway, is making a T-shirt, that is more of an instance from the meme than the meme itself, really stealing ?

3 – Based on above, why is it bothering you so much if people find it cool to buy shirts from memes or if people are overusing what YOU think are "old/dead memes" ? What is the matter with that ? You can simply ignore them or bash them if they come to a chan and act too much retardly to your taste, can't you ?
There are many scales in the "funnyness" of things, depending on every people. Fine, if that irritates other people, that's too bad, but it's in no way an argument to "censor" its use.

4 – Can't you explain why you think memes must be part of a "secret knowledge" or for "secret clubhouses users only" ? A meme is a meme if it spreads to other people who replicate it, in the first place. You can't remove that.
