Due to popular demand, we're relaunching the #knowyourmeme IRC on Freenode, and we've created a new secondary room: #OMGKYM.

The purpose of the two rooms is simple: #knowyourmeme is where you can collaborate on meme research and discuss memetic theories. It's the "business-in-the-front" part of our mullet.

#OMGKYM is the "party in the back" part. This is where almost anything goes. No real work happens in here, and you're likely to get trolled in some way or another. Have fun!

The best part of all: Greg has made it easy to join both rooms right from inside the browser. You still get better functionality out of using an IRC client like Colloquy, but it's not your only option.

Well, this didn't exactly work as planned.
So here's my suggestion.
Not that this wasn't a good idea, it's just that it could have been executed a bit better.

After everybody kicked themselves silly, some kind of order has been restored in #OMGKYM. It's turned into the typical off-topic discussion.
