I'm definitely getting an iPad, and I have a load of books in different format (like .lit or .txt) that I want to load on it. iBooks seems to handle only ePubs, and Kindle's app isn't much more flexible.
Has the community tossed out a simple reader program yet? I'd prefer to be secure in the knowledge that anything I read isn't being phoned home to Apple or Amazon, and it seems like a simple enough program to write.
