It is sad day :'(

According to the comments:

M. Night Shyamalan (or whatever) has raped one of my favorite shows when I was younger.

I still want to see how bad it is.

Yeah, it even received a low score on metacritic.

It scored even lower than Furry Vengeance and that's saying something.

I think we all should have expected it. I thought it would be hard to turn that huge series into 1 1/2 hours. If I understand, it is basically a compressed version of the series, right?

well, death-note was a good live action adaptation. so you can make a good adaptation.

I saw it today and I didn't think it was that bad. It would be hard to understand if you had never seen the show so there's most of the low score. Then there are the people who obsess over the show and don't like it when everything isn't "just like the cartoon" There's the other bunch of the low score.

since I enjoyed the show, I was disappointing that the fire nation wasn't Chinese, but a bunch of night look a likes. I quickly got over it though. The story was really fast, but you have to realize they are putting a whole season into one movie. The one thing I could not get over was the fire lord big ol fat face! >:U

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing it again. And I have to admit. I love love LOVE the cartoon. I dont think it's as bad as every one is making it out to be. :/ I want to see what they do with the next 3 movies. Maybe they will learn from their mistakes.

I do miss sassy sokka and fat happy iro though.

OR MAYBE I'm so use to watching crap on MST3K and cheesy 80's cartoons that this movie had no effect on me!
