Trump theatens to end bailouts for insurance companies and members of congress because he can't repeal and replace Obamacare

I know these words are thrown around willy-nilly nowadays and don't hold much credibility, but I'm seriously wondering when he tries to go full Abuse of Power and dictatorship.
Luckily with how the American government is set up (not to mention this was the goal in the first place of the Revolution) it's to prevent all power from being concentrated to one person, but he's damn well trying his hardest it looks like.

You have to give the man some credit at least. Repealing Obamacare was one of his campaign promises (and literally one of the primary reasons I voted for him) during the election, and he's still trying to get it done. At least he hasn't decided to abandon it at this point, a point which I think many other people probably would've.

However, I don't think this is the way it should be done though. Isn't it how it's suppose to work be that both parties work together to compromise in order to make a bill that suits them both? Because it seems like both parties have this "it's either my way or the highway."

Democrats adamantly refuse to let Obamacare be changed at all from it's current state, and Republicans refuse to let Obamacare exist at all.

I don't expect there to be any compromise on healthcare (and a lot of other issues) from the Democrats anytime soon, since Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare have just been tax cuts for the wealthy that'll throw millions off of healthcare. If they tried to compromise in this situation, they'd get crucified by their base, especially by the progressive wing, who already give them flak for not being left enough, among other things. Maybe there's some bipartisan consensus on other issues, but with the current state of things, Democrats are expected to oppose Trump's agenda as much as possible.

I know it goes against common sens but I'm actually for this. Insurance companies have single handedly ruined health Care in the us, and are the ones directly responsible for making it a for profit business. They deserve to dissolve because of their poor business practices and hubris.

It's unfortunate that that isn't what's actually happening. "not bailing out insurance companies" isn't what this is. It's "refusing to put money into the system that helps co-pay for insurance." That's not only different from a company like Anthem falling to it's own pyramid scheme, it's actually the opposite, and that's absolutely disgusting to threaten to do.

You know our political system is in a very swell state when the main goal of an entire political party is basically "fuck this guy here."

I've always thought rewarding companies that screwed up so badly they're teetering on the edge of bankruptcy is a terrible policy, so I'm all for stopping it.

But what exactly is a bailout of a member of Congress? I don't ever recall the Fed or Treasury loaning members of Congress billions of dollars when they fell on hard times. Kinda just sounds like another shitposty tweet that'll be forgotten by tomorrow when Trump makes another shitpost tweet (I got 5:1 odds it'll be about North Korea).

Trump's threatening to not allow funding to government partially-paid insurance if Obamacare isn't repealed. At least that's what it sounds like he's doing. But seeing as the president doesn't control the budget I don't really see how he intends to actually accomplish this.

Not sure. Guess the man is so used to getting his way that something not going his way is a shocker?

That seems to be it, really.
The man never had to face accountability for his actions, and he hates people that don't enable his abusive mentality.

Yeah, and as much as people here and on the rest of the internet hate to admit it, a good part of this is our fault, since we could have stopped them from getting worse, but we didn't. On the plus side, people's efforts in resisting Republican attempts to repeal Obamacare have paid off with the Senate failing to repeal it, so at least that activism is paying off.
