/pol just attempted the saddest and worst attempt at trolling of this century

TL;DR: /pol wanted to show that people on r/politics are sheeple who upvote anything that they agree on without checking or reading it, so they make a post that Donald is a racist doo doo head with a link that leads to nothing.

But that's not enough, they also brigade and start to comment under the post and upvote it, trying their best to talk like the liberal strawmen they know. They do this for a few hours and praise themselves in a huge circlejerk on r/the_donald and /pol.

But what they don't know is that the mods deleted the post long ago for having a broken link, and every single supposed libtard redditor who fell for it is actually a pollack in disguise, talking to eachother and upvoting the post without realizing that nobody listens to them or sees the post.

So TL;DR to that TL;DR: They played themselves and congratulated themselves for it

And these guys supposedly won the Meme War I & II!

Isn't that a bannable offense?

The widespread presence of false-flagging and bots have rendered any attempt to derive accurate information or develop a dialogue on the (mainstream) internet impossible. Nothing on major social media outlets can be trusted anymore. The internet is dead and the very technology that made it possible in the first place is what undid it.

/pol/ is just a sad sack of idiots who think they're hot shit. I remember not too long ago, the !not/sveg/! thread on /co/ made a troll thread on /pol/ talking about how Star vs. and modern cartoons are part of a conspiracy to pussify young boys and they ate that shit up and refused to believe me even when I told them the whole thread was a troll. It ended up hitting the post limit. /pol/ is nothing but a bunch of gullible manchildren who think themselves genius elites and it's kind of sad when people take them for anything else.

It's nothing to do with their beliefs, it's the fact that they are easily fooled by lazy bait that could easily be checked out if they went to /co/ for ten seconds yet think they are hot shit because they bullied a celebrity into madness by finding his flag, something that's only an accomplishment because no one else has the time to waste looking through flight records for something so petty. I'd link the desuarchive link to the /co/ thread linking to the /pol/ thread but it's down at the moment

I'll try to find the /co/ thread where this shitshow started, but just scroll through that thread and see what /pol/ actually is.

Good times.

The vast majority of their beliefs are contemptible, but there are a large amount of reasons detached from their worldview that firmly place them in the pathetic manchild category. They used to be comparatively better several years ago, but stormfront, gamergate, and the 2016 election, all combined with the obsession with meaningless transgression that defines (or I would argue once defined) 4chan lead it to be inundated with the worst possible people. Throw in the fact that 4chan's userbase consists primarily of teenagers and early twenty something year olds, all still impressionable and searching for an in-group and worldview with which to define themselves, and you end up with the indefensible shitshow we call /pol/.

Good times.

Sweet geezus.

They believe anything that fits their narrative.
I'm surprised they don't regularly drink Kool-Aid.

@Ryumaru

Hey, there was no need to provide proofs, I didn't doubt that what you have said really happened, but thanks anyway.

@YNG

What exactly is so contemptible about "the vast majority" of their beliefs? The delivery is awful, unfortunately, but I think there are good reasons for that. It's just White nationalism and social conservatism at its core, if I understand it correctly.

If you read OP, you'd at least realize OP is just saying /pol/ did a very shit attempt at trolling. It's more or less akin to this.

Just replace unfunny kids screaming at an old man on the phone to /pol/ trolls failing at baiting users.

@BrentD15
As someone that sees politics being autistic screeching at times with people thinking strawmans and such of their opposition, /pol/ isn't any cleaner in political beliefs. They can fall under stupidity like anyone else.

BrentD15 wrote:

How many people here think this is going to get worse, and that these people will become more desperate in trying to seem cool and powerful?

As far as /pol/ goes, I wouldn't know since I never really kept up with the weaponized autism they use. As for desperate; much as some can just be shitposters, they pretty much may as well be walking on the edge that allows them to be laughing stocks. Case in point:

*I know Kiwi Farms wouldn't sit well with people considering their reputation but a friend linked me it due to the fact he finds it funny.

/mlp/ is not amused with /pol/ on the latter REEEEing at a horse having lesbian horse aunts in some non-canon book.

A /mlp/ anon says /pol/babbies are pretty pathetic in regards to some MLP book having a lesbian couple.

Even from the perspective of a shitposter, that can no doubt fall under cringe (/pol/ being cringy I mean, not a 4chan brony board which could have its own cringe).

so they tried to make fun of circlejerking & reddit, being completely unaware of how to even MAKE A POST on reddit in the first place, and than ironically started circlejerking themselves. sounds average for a /pol/lack

this just further proves to me trolling is a dead 'art form'

I fucking hate Bronies & MLP, but this is one of the few times I'll side with them, albeit mainly because I'm queer myself. I never read the comic[because again, I'm not a fucking brony] and doubt they handled it right.

but fuck, I'd say it's a somewhat bold move for a show that's focused on being an advertisement for shitty toys bought only by the parents of little retarded girls & fat retarded dudes who think the show has some artistic merit along the lines of breaking bad, the godfather & game of thrones & only stops being an advertisement to slap on some half assed morals that really aren't good advice at all and will not give you any more success in friendship in your later life.

fuck, why does every fucking /pol/lack swear to fucking christ want to censor all LGBTQ+ Media like what Russia is doing, apologies for going 'wrong generation' on everyone but when the fuck did the internet go from hating all forms of totalitarianism & corruption and promoting freedom and for the internet itself to be a free place

…to a place where authoritarians argue with eachother on a daily basis over which form of opressing people is the best because they fail to realize/forget how politicians usually do not give a shit about ideology and really just care about gaining office & gaining power[hence why for example 'anti-porn' conservative evangelical politician Ted Cruz retweeted porn tweets, or why the apparently left wing Hillary Clinton tried to go all 'how do you do fellow kids' in her entire election by using memes wrong & saying she supports gay rights when really she hates gay people & campaigned for the censorship of video games]

Honestly, I'd say it likely comes down to one of two things:

1) Those two are coming from opposed factions, there's obviously plenty of those on the web (and most popular websites) so it's no surprise to have different groups pushing for things that contradict each other, particularly since they often virulently hate the "other side" to the point where they go full "with us or against us".

2) That professed belief in freedom is either braindead dogmatism (so it's really more to do with arbitrary distinctions than any real justification, for example they'd whine about "MUH FREEZE PEACH" and then feel perfectly fine about bullying people into silence because they're not the government so it technically doesn't count) or an empty ploy for power (they don't really believe it, they just say it to look good or accomplish their goals, for example they'd claim to be against censorship when it's their hate speech at risk and then be more than happy to support it when it's "the gays" at risk).

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand /pol/ meme culture. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of why anyone to the left of them is stupid and wrong most of the jokes will go over a typical cucks head.
