Anyone else noticing Google is just blatantly censoring search results

So the other day I tried googling that bottle guy shock image (don't ask) and I couldn't find it, like at all. I figured it must of been taking down on the original site but then i tried using bing and found it instantly. Pretty weird my explicit filter is off and other lewd shit is pretty easy to find

I just tried Googling Info Wars and you can't even find the website on the first 2 pages. Its all random ass articles to other news sites like NBC, CNN, NYT. BTW im not some big info wars fan I was gonna post screen shots of the store on a discord for a joke.

Is anyone else getting this kind of bullshit where they can't find the thing they are looking for? Just want to make sure its not a glitch or my safety settings. If not Google has gone full blown aids, id honestly rather use Bing at this point.

It even gives the opposite search results even when the topics aren't sensitive (for an example, search for "desktop-friendly website". Almost all results are about making your website mobile-friendly.). Not only that, it also gives far less search results for phrases that should have been uttered far more frequently than the search results would indicate.

That's also what I was thinking the other day, it would be a shame if Google was subjectively changing the order of the search results, omitting some results. If they're doing it I believe something isn't right. Btw I tested Infowars on Google and the first result is the Infowars website.

they have been doing that for a long time. 8chan isn't indexed on google, and the EU introduced "right to be forgotten", so google, by law, has to remove some indexed sites/articles.
They also limit search suggestions. it won't auto-fill words like "cannabis", for example.

btw, the site is called "infowars", not "info wars". that explains why you couldn't find it.

Sometimes I really think you're a parody account. Do I really have to explain why that is maybe one of the stupidest sentences ive ever read in my life?

I can type papajon and get the exact same results if I type if correctly. Googles not gonna go what the fuck is infowars? I have zero clue but here's 500 articles about Alex Jones…" No Google Info Wars"

OH shit nigga, now you're talking sense.

And no this is recent because I go to that store every few months and stream it on Discord to show all the weird shit on it

Wait, so you found it just fine?

I double checked before posting this to make sure it wasn't my safety filter and couldn't find anything. I can't see anything that would filter things like that out for me.

Idk don't wanna go on some Orwell tangent about Google but I have no clue whats going on.

why does my comment have so many comments and wtf are you talking about? Info Wars is two words, not a mispelling like papjon is. How you think there is a grand google cospiracy because you thought there was a space in infowars is beyond me.

again, because he correctly typed in inforwars, not info wars

Whatever it is, it's definitely on Google's end. Duckduckgo, Bing, Yahoo, and Yandex all pull up the site on the first page with a search of "info wars".

If the search query were at fault, then at least most of these other engines would have a similar outcome, but they didn't.

Google needs to censor things occasionally. Things like InfoWars are not trustworthy, and are known to disseminate false information that could potentially lead to people getting hurt. That's a major reason why you often need to dig to find these sites.
As for the lewd thing, the site may be requesting that search engines do not index the site and Bing just ignores that. Could also be the site is hosting illegal content. Could be page ranking pushing the results you want down, due to popularity not being high for a shock image. Perhaps your search term wasn't specific enough. Maybe it was an honest mistake or the algorithm was wrong. Hard to know. But ultimately I don't think there's an issue worth getting upset about here.

Just noticed recently google censors adult stores. You know how if you zoom into a spot in maps, it'll show the businesses located there? Adult stores won't show up no matter how much you zoom in. They'll only show up if you type in the name.

Why are you getting downvoted?

anywho, searching things on google is a legit pain in the ass sometimes and sometimes other search engines are simply better in cases for these types of things. If google do work for me I sometimes use bing as my second choice.

I’m not even surprised google does this considering their beliefs on the subject .
