I'm just surprised that nobody has raged at this yet.
I came into this thread hoping to see a wonderfully entertaining shitstorm filled with people going "ZOMG YURF ERN HERL FARFUGS HURRRRR" but instead I get…people being totally cool about it (not counting Mister J's somewhat embarrassed expression) and talking about Korra. I am impressed at how well people are handling this troll thread.

Same reason some people like Pony porn. It often has less to do with the animal in question and more to do with the fact it's just a center of interest. I'm pretty sure that people who dig furry porn are only attracted to the human aspects as well and find the animal aspects as just an added bit of spice to make it interesting
But that's just one theory out of many. Since it is a subjective matter of taste, the reasons range in the millions.

To be honest, I find some furries to be attractive, but not because they're similar to animals. I find them attractive because they have the bodies of absolutely beautiful women. If it weren't for the fur, ears, tails, and snouts, they'd be some sexy women.
