What do you think of this rant?

I finally hit my last straw with the Nostalgia Brats and made this rant. What do you think? Is it a passable one?:

:A message to the folks who waste time posting things on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel's respective Facebook pages, saying how you want them to bring back the 90s because everything made after 2009 sucks.

"Quality over quantity", huh, Nickelodeonites? The way you people are talking, you're acting like Nickelodeon should only show Spongebob and FOP's and nothing else except reruns of shows that ended up to 20 years ago.

Guess what, a network can't depend on only one or two shows forever, nor can they only show reruns on a big channel! Eventually, people will want something new. And you know what? Let's suppose Nick, or CN or Disney Channel actually went through with what you want and pulled everything made after the year 2009 and only showed reruns. I guarantee after about a year you would probably complain that nothing ever changes and that you want something new. They start making new stuff, and the cycle begins again.

Then there's the fact of the folks who are kids now…

"Daddy? What happened to Mordecai and Rigby?"
"They're gone and never coming back, Junior, why don't I introduce you to Dexter and DeeDee?"
"But, Dad, I wanted to watch Regular Show!"
"Come on kid, you'll love this!"

Do you think they'll just dive right onto the shows we grew up with without a second thought? Some might, but I bet quite a few would wonder where Phineas and Ferb and Sanjay and Craig went. The Big Three kids channels are trying to appeal to kids, not nearly twenty year old young men and ladies who aren't gonna be watching tv all the time! The novelty would wear off after a while. Ever notice how The 90 Are All That Block doesn't get as much ratings as it did when it first launched? Ratings would eventually drop down and the networks would probably introduce new shows whether you want it to or not. You also act like the networks THEMSELVES make the shows like they're big factories churning out toys. The "Created by: Someone" line on title screens don't say "Nickelodeon" or something. Some cartoonists and showrunners are more creative than others and some people's tastes might be different.

You know what, a little birdie told me Craig Bartlett, creator of Hey Arnold, is back with Nick and is producing a new show. Will you be happy? Will you be pumped to see him back at Nick? Nope! I guarantee the news will greeted with such supportive lines as: "NO NO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE MAKING NEW EPISODES OF HEY ARNOLD!" "WHERE'S THE JUNGLE MOVIE?" And if they did make new episodes of Hey Arnold, you would nitpick it to the core, saying that they ruined the series and that they should have left well enough alone. Gee, where have I heard that before, oh yeah! When they revived the Powerpuff Girls for a special, and many of you refused to watch it just because the artstyle wasn't what YOU wanted. Hey, they actually listened to you and tried to bring it back and introduce it to your kids, and THAT is how you repay them?

Times change people, we grow up, and things we tend to grow out of things we enjoyed as kids. Does that mean we can enjoy the things we grew up with? Yes, a thousand times, yes! Does that mean we should hate everything our kids (if you have any) solely because it ISN'T what we grew on? That is just about the most immature thing to do and makes us seem no older than the audiences Nick or CN or whatever cater to. We should let this generation enjoy what they enjoy, while we enjoy what we enjoy."

We had a thread specifically for rants once. It turned out hilariously. I'm all for letting this be a rant thread for everyone if Lugia feels it has already expended its purpose

Go right ahead! I ain't stopping you guys!

Alrighty…

I'll start us off with something I posted on the Affluenza page a while back:

"A thought occurs…
This kid got off because he supposedly suffers from a psychological disorder, i.e. affluenza, that prevents him from understanding the consequences of his actions -
- He’s killed four people and injured a dozen others on a drunk driving spree – if he’s truly incapable of understanding the consequences of his actions, there’s absolutely no guarantee that he won’t try to do it again.

My point is this:
He basically got off on an insanity plea, he’s proven that he’s a danger to himself and those around him – so why didn’t he get his ass tossed into an insane asylum?

Considering Judge Boyd had made an earlier announcement that she planned on retiring at the end of her current term, I’m going to take a wild guess and say. “bribery.”
/rant"

Not all that long, but I was legitimately pissed when I wrote it.
