I just plan on using the idea of a zombie apocalypse as the means of forging a decent survivalist clan so I can build my fortress in the wilderness. That's just what I'll tell them it's for.

If it was me and some other survivors vs. zombies?

Well, the responsible thing to do would be tring to survive.

But this a zombie apocalypse, so I'm going out in style.

I would fist-fight zombies until they kill me.

I'd play "Rock and Roll part 2" on a stereo while this was going on.

That would be the coolest.

oh, i see. I would try to find a group of competent survivors, migrate to an uninhabited part of the globe were being able to sustain crops and cattle, would be easy. Of course there is always getting out of the city, which would be the best part :)

I live in a really bad location. Too many people, not enough undeveloped land. It wasn't like this ten years ago; there was a lot more prairie then.

Sorry, but I have to be a buzzkill right now.

I always hear people talk about strategy in surviving zombies. Hell, when it comes to the zombie in general, there seems to be a lot of "science" involed. In reality, it's all in good fun. But, then there's always that one hyper-defensive bitch (None of you cool people) who has to have every aspect of a zombie in his/her eyes matched perfectly in any zombie simulation/scenario/movie/game, or else it's garbage.

So let us pretend zombies are here by whatever means.

Well, a zombie is essentially a person with half-baked motor skills, and doesn't have the brain capacity to harm you any other way than clawing at you and biting you. What I don't understand is, why not head to a humid environment? They'll decay like a compost heap, considering they're already dead.

But I can't take zombie/zombie virus talk too long. Really, doesn't work. Can't work. Too many flaws on the "virus control" system. Now what I think is cool is the concept of Hell-driven zombies, like in Doom. But for some reason, whenever I bring up "Hell Zombies", everyone gets mad at me, and I don't know why.

That was a mouth full. I apologize.

@skankin

Tada! You make an extremely valid, nay, correct point. Only one problem.

I simply don't call the HL zombies "zombies", and I mean this on a technical level. I call them "parasite-controlled mutants that act like zombies". And I say mutant because of all the different mutations they go through. Regardless, surviving a take over by these PCM's would be essentially the same as a zombie take over, with some twists.

Most notably, considering the PCM scenario could mean the HL universe is in play, there may be Gravity Gun technology. Sawblades FTW.
