What is this winter? Is that the season where you have to be up North to even get? Not even Indiana is getting a "winter".

We got our second snowstorm today, usually in New York the biggest snowstorm happens at the end of January, so we'll see.

It's 15 degrees F here and 5 inches of snow on the ground, still go out without a coat

In my region of WI, its currently below 0F with no snowfall. The projected weather for the college I'm heading back to is 0F + at least -15 windchill. Yall sayin its cold when its above 20 is liars.

For the last week or so here it's fallen to around -1 overnight. I go to work before the sun comes up at the moment so it's pretty damn cold. Still, I prefer too cold to too hot, must be my celt blood powers.

Here in Texas people are ill equipped to deal with the cold (especially since it was in the 70s F last week) so yeah it's not too fun for suddenly it start to get icy roads.

The warehouse I work at had an entire shift call out, so it shut down orders early and my shift had to pick up the slack.

The struggle against the forces of winter is one thing that can elevate a nation's spirit. It's do or die. Better chop that firewood or freeze to death. And during the summer season, you can't exactly lie under a tree, waiting for fruit to drop in your mouth. You have to store it for the winter. History proves this: in the North, we had the Vikings. Whereas in the South… well, you know.

Personally, I like the cold weather, because it burns (ha ha) away all trivial and ugly thoughts like racism.

I miss living in Michigan and having regularly about 2 feet of snow every winter

I live in Northern Ireland; if the skies are clear and sunny on the unlikely occasion, some dumbfucks actually go outside wearing a t-shirt and shorts (not going on a jog) even when the temperature is around 4 degrees Celsius.
They end up catching colds and end up starting a common cold and flu epidemic which I might end up catching, so winters are not fun on that regard.

I want it to be Spring March Late April/May for it to start warming up already

Temperature switches between -5ºC and 5ºC these last weeks which is hell for the roads because you hardly get snow but still rain and the roads freeze up, causing hundreds of accidents even in this small country [Netherlands].

(This is actually an anomaly, it rarely gets this low. It was only about 0ºC just a week prior!)

That feel when you live in Norway and it changes from snow to rain to rain with ice and then ice with snow and then -15 degrees celsius and then foggy ice-rain, all in the span of a few days.

Why did people even settle this inhospitable weather-hell?
