"Darker and Edgier" reboots you're surprised actually exist

This isn't the only DC Comics reboot of an old Hannah Barbera property as in 2016 they gained the rights to do various reboots of other HB shows, one famous example being the Flintstones reboot which drops some of the old sitcom elements in favor of serious drama, Scooby Apocalypse (a sci-fi reimagining of Scooby-Doo), and Future Quest, a crossover comic that brings together a lot of characters from HB's old action cartoons like Jonny Quest, Space Ghost, Birdman, and The Galaxy Trio (and not in a parody sense like Harvey Birdman on Adult Swim).

Speaking of which, DC will also be doing that same treatment to some characters of the Looney Tunes (and by some I mean Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote, The Road Runner, Marvin The Martian, Yosemite Sam, Taz, etc.). Except that, this time, their involvment only include standalone, crossover stories instead of a serialized continuity.

I have never seen Ren and Stimpy, but I've seen this reboot (a chapter called "Ren seeks help") and it's quite edgy (the bad kind of edgy). It's disgusting and mean spirited, as far as I'm concerned, those "qualities" weren't present in the original show (once again, I've never seen it). This reboot includes animal abuse, rape jokes and gore.
