I just realized I have nostalgia for the 00s, so imma post things I liked back then. Feel free to do the same.

Legendary Frog

Back when Newgrounds was a site people went to, Legendary Frog had a sizable fanbase. Although in retrospect his early animations were technically crude, his humor stands up. I checked his website and it's good to see he's still making videos.

Homestar Runner

It's long gone now, but I still have a soft spot for Homestar Runner, especially the Strong Bad emails. The animation holds up surprisingly well and the humor is as good as ever. Back in the day, I even bought Poker Night at the Inventory and the first episode of the Strong Bad game.

Animutations

There once was a website called Albino Blacksheep. They hosted Flash animations of varying quality. For a couple years, there was a fad of making these bizarre, fast-paced videos. I watched the same dozen or so over and over again.

(I grew up in the 00's and let me say it was a godless era of leftover 90's scraps and Avril Lavine)

Oh god, how does shit like this hide in the deepest part of your memory for years only to be remembered perfectly when you see it again?

I'm not sure if anyone remembered this, but I saw this on TV when I was a kid in the 00's. It's this cotton candy maker which I think my family brought it once, but I couldn't have sworn could have been broken on the first time it was used.

Now this, I remembered. You could say this is sorta like Play-Doh. Basically you could make wall art with this, though I just compress some together to make a rock-like ball. There also this moon sand I also seen on TV. However, it didn't let me embed the video for some unknown reason. But, here the link.

Ok, I think this is the same toy I remember from Kindergarten. Basically, I saw this in a Chuck E Cheese and someone brought it to Kindergarten one day to get the kids to have fun. However, the kids and young me learned that if you tossed it "too" high, it went flying over the school fence and landed in some trees. A person from school did get it and we played with it at a field on the campus of the school. Again, someone tossed it too high and it drifted off into the sky. I don't know what happened to it, my guesses were that it ran out of air and launched on the other side of the school or landed near someone's property. My favorite (but clearly untrue) guess was that it flew to Nevada where the people from Area 51 shot it down, thinking it was an UFO.

My friends and I used to quote Salad Fingers all the time. Apparently, David Firth is annoyed that the first video is the most watched, because it requires the least thought. That sounds pretty elitist to me, but it's true that the series got deeper (and more disturbing as it went on.

I think it was the Aqua Dots that were recalled, not Floam though, I'm pretty sure.

I remember my cousins showing me Albino Black Sheep and how it's what introduced me to The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny and just user-created flash animations in general
