Not weird, more kinda cool. I had dream about a year ago at this point about what the new LoZ was going to be, and it was a steampunk/frostpunk sort of affair. The premise was that the game took place so far into the future that Ganon was no longer any threat to Hyrule, allowing the kingdom to grow into an empire spanning a good chunk of the world. Link was a young member of the Aristocracy, while Zelda was royalty as per usual. The game opened up with Link being punished for sneaking out and spending time in the city because "he's not supposed to associate with the lower classes." He goes to bed for the night, where he dreams about three fairies, representing the three goddesses, talking about how there is disaster coming, and due to Link's upbringing, they need to step in and give him a little nudge this time. They sang a little song, and Link woke up the next morning wanting to swing a sword around, and this would have been the games basic tutorial. Cut to a few days later and Link is sneaking out again, only this time to join the Hyrule Royal Army under a fake name; this would be where the player would put their name in.
The dream then cut to much later, when this supposed disaster was revealed: an Ice Age is coming, and it's threatening to consume Hyrule and most of the world. Link's mission in this game is as thus: Prevent the cold from destroying the world by collecting long forgotten artifacts which, once combined, resurrected Ganon as his original human form, Ganondorf Dragmire, as for whatever reason, only he could drive back the cold. The moment this was revealed was about where the dream ended.
I don't dream that often, but when I do, they are vivid and highly memorable.
They also are sometimes precognisant, but that's a different story.
