I've been thinking: if people can steal people's secrets or plant ideas in their head, wouldn't it be possible to erase people's memories through dream-sharing, making them forget things? There could be vast uses for 'Deletion': stopping a witness from testifying against you by making them forget what they saw, making people forget their own regrets/fears, wiping people's identity by erasing their memories of themselves, etc. This extension of the original premise could've made an awesome story.

I mean wouldn't that be Total Recall in a way?
EDIT: But, heres a movie idea, DOW marines, very similar to us, and worship jesus, love guns, and killing shit.
vs Super humans that want to be at peace, but pretty much kick space marines ass, and like the space marines turn into kamikaze bots in giant shits, but its like the corperations are making the moneys for maknig shits.
And than theres like these aliens, and they are like wtf, and take off with all the secrets to the galaxy, also earth explodes, ridding the universe of the human menace.
Huh…i thought the Deletion idea was good, but apparently not….anyway, here is how inception should have ended:
….and what the main cast of inception would look like drawn in a manga:

It's not like people would have googled these things if they wanted to see it or anything.
How is this a missed opportunity? If Christopher Nolan wanted the movie to be about deleting memories, he would have fuckin' made it about deleting memories. He made it about Inception, because thats the plot he wanted.
deleting memories you say?
Maybe they'll use the deletion concept in a sequel/prequel

If you got the point of the movie, you would get that there cant be a sequel.
