On the show, there is one final clue, and everyone with a score gets to respond. (The Real) Trebek reveals the category, and everyone writes down how much they want to wager on it. They go to commercial. When they come back, Trebek reveals the clue, and everyone has one minute to write their "Question". Everyone's answers and wagers are revealed, and a winner is declared.

In our version, I am going to give everyone some time to take in the scores as they stand while I continue researching to decide what the best final clue will be (it should be really tough, of course). Eventually, FINAL JEOPARDY! for us will go something like this:

1. I will post the category on this thread. Perhaps this evening, but certainly no later than Monday morning. (Like, within the next 36 hours. I'm not being more specific, because I'm not sure how long it will take me to be satisfied I've got an ideal clue. As I've said before, I would welcome anyone who is not playing to message me with a suggestion.)

2. After the category is posted, every player with a positive score has 24 hours to send a message via this link with the amount you are going to wager on the given category. Do not post it on the thread, it's supposed to be secret for strategic reasons.

3. After 24 hours have passed (or I receive a message from every player, whichever comes first) I will reveal the final clue. I may ask to have the thread locked at that time, as their should be no more posts here from players after that point.

4. Every player that wagered will then send a message with their response (this link again). Remember to phrase it in the form of a question. Once again, I will allow 24 hours.

5. After the time has passed, I will reveal everyone's responses, wagers, and final scores.

Sound good? Makes sense to everyone?
