Question is: does it have enough impact on the web for an entry?
It's a heated annual discussion over here, but I can't say to what extend it hits the rest of the world or the internet.

Do memes on KYM have to have a worldwide impact? Regional memes should be allowed too imo.

Inarguably, I'm just sharing that my knowledge outside national stuff is limited.
We've had articles for our own site in-jokes and the memes of certain subreddits that failed to spread elsewhere, so what's there to stop an article on zwarte piet? I personally have never heard of it, but if it's a big deal on some corner of the internet that's more than enough reason to create an entry
