Earlier today, Reddit announced the sub /r/place which features a blank 1000 × 1000 canvas on which any user can place a colored pixel once every 10 minutes, similar to Drawball. In only a few hours, various pixel art, memes, flags, logos, and so on began emerging. The most striking features so far are the lower right "Blue Corner" and a diagonal "Rainbow Road". User BigSunnyField has also been compiling time lapse GIF's of the entire page.

It actually fluctuates between 5 and 10 minutes. I guess it has something to do with how often pixels are placed?
Also, the Blue Corner was started by 4chan. Proof:

How was this organized? My guess is the IRC, which I don't use (or know how to).
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the thread.
I spent my pixel making Dat Boi's dick bigger. Pixel well spent. April Fools day confirmed best day to be on the internet.

Yes. I'd be doing this if I remembered what my username was.
It's over.
I'd like to request editorship so that I could update massive chunks of the article, especially the development section. I also plan to add an aftermath section after clones of r/place popped up.

Here is the entry where you should request editorship.
