Common misconception, I've been trying to push this since FOREEEEVER but fan made MLP characters are not OCs.

OCs refer to Original Characters, which implies that the character is from an original series of the creator's own. You can't really get away with saying an MLP pony based heavily on the Fallout games can be described as completely "Original".

THIS is an "original character" of mine, she's not from an established series, I came up with her universe myself so I have the right to say her concept is original. (Pic's really freakin' old by the way)

But if you came up with a character, like this one, based on MLP then they AREN'T an OC. They are an FC, a "fan character" because they where made by a fan, not by the creator themselves.

I appreciate that NOBODY'S EVER going to listen to me about this, but it's been bugging me for years.

Well, I'm glad you defined it that way. Makes sense to me. I'll go with your definition as personal truth and recognize most others' definition of original character for the sake of conversation.

Well, in a pure-fandom environment it doesn't. But the circle of dA where I come from is heavy in both OC and FC content, so we needed to make the two different types of characters definable.

On the subject of OC ponies would someone draw me an oc pony? If you do and want some details on color and cutie mark ill be happy to give but i cant draw for shit and id appreciate it if someone would.

Ok he needs to be tall with black fur, glasses, a white bass clef for the cutie mark, some leg accessories, and he can be either a unicorn or a Pegasus you choose.

Celestia tall? Glasses frame shape & color? Bass (srsly)? Leg rings (like Zecora) or something else? HAIR!?!??!? (Style and colors?)

Ok fine give him like a video game style cutie mark. glasses frame square needs to be white or red. leg rings or sweat bands also white or red. Hair needs to be medium in length and spikey you with two colors that work with the colors of the body and accessory colors. and he doesnt have to be but close to celestia tall.
