Hello and welcome to Survivor: KYM. Over the next few days, you wit outwit, outplay and outlast your competitors for the sweet prize of being the greatest KYM user ever. Now, read these rules carefully, breaking them will probably result in disqualification.

General Rules

Every day, a new challenge will be posted in this thread. You’ll have 24 hours to complete it and send it in. If you do not complete the challenge you will be disqualified. Once you are disqualified, there is no way for you to win the prize.

Individual Challenges

Some challenges you’ll have to do all by your lonesome. Contact with your teammates is not recommended. After every individual challenge (besides today’s) at least one person will be eliminated.

Team challenges

Team challenges are the community building of this contest. Only one person has to submit the team’s entry in the challenge. If one or more team members are not participating, you will have to complete the challenge without them. They will be eliminated.

Voting

After every Team challenge, you will have to vote off someone from the “island”. You will send these votes in private messages to the ballot box. These messages will be kept super confidential. No one but me will ever have to know who you voted for, unless you tell them, but whatever. If there is a 2-way tie both players will be kicked off, if there is a 3-way tie or more, then everyone stays (though I may have to change that later in the game).

Immunities

There are 3 types of immunities. You get them from doing either really well or poorly in challenges. They all only last one round of voting.

Complete Immunity makes you exempt from the next round of voting. You are not exempt for challenges, you can have immunity but still be eliminated by failing a challenge.

Half immunity makes every vote against you only count as half of a vote. If you lose the vote with Half Immunity that means your opponents really hate you.

Half De-mmunity makes every vote against you count as 1.5 of a vote. At that point you may or may not be totally fucked.

Flickr Usage

A lot of these challenges will involve images. Usually screencaps of what you’ve accomplished. I will say at the bottom of each challenge whether or not I’ll add your images to the CBC flickr page. If you don’t want your image added to the collection, shoot me over a PM and I won’t add it.

Well, that should cover everything. And if I have to change the rules for any reason, I will left you guys know.

CHALLENGE #1: The Menny faces of Chris

Individual Challenge

Now, we should all know who Former Community Manager Chris Menning is. If you don’t here’s a little info: Chris used to be the Community Manager of our beloved site, until Buzzfeed swooped down and stole him from us. He also made the avatar that I have right now. He made me use it through blackmail and intimidation. So this is how I will have my revenge.

I need you to make some Chris Menning fanart. I’d prefer that it would be some embarrassing fanart, but it’s up to you.

Rules

Keep it safe for work. This is super important.

Don’t be too rough on poor old Chris. I’m sure he’s used to being made fun of on the internet but he’s still our friend. I’d hate for his feelings to get hurt.

Since this is an artfag challenge and I don’t want to say which one is the worst, the only way to lose this first challenge is to not participate.

Immunity Bonus

Chris will occasionally post things he sees on the kym forums on Buzzfeed. If Chris Menning makes a post about these fanarts on Buzzfeed (which is unlikely but possible) then the user whose fanart is on the top of the page gets full immunity.

Decided to save about 5 hours and work and did it in paint instead of in 3d. I think I'll save 3d stuff for the later competitions.

I already made a caricature of Chris in one of my sketchbooks. If I can find it again, I'll use it to create le art stuff.

Also, since I'm jealous that my team has no representative image of some sort like the others, I decided to create a simple banner. Hope you like it, guys!

I used the picture on his profile, also didn't draw the facial hair because it hid some of the facial features.
