For starters I'm wondering what kind of actor they'll bring in I don't know much about actors/actresses. Dear god imagine if the phone guy was voiced by Johnny Depp. Would the movie literally just be: sitting in the same room for hours on end. What are your preferences and ideas on this movie? Discuss.

Scotty C himself. It could be a significant role, it could be just a cameo.
It's got some talented people attached already, & I trust their judgement, but if Phone Guy is in the movie, & he's voiced by someone else, it would just make me feel dirty.
And yes, as ProfessorRivers said, expanding on the killer would be nice.
It's one thing to know what he did. It would be another to know why.
As much as I love the mystery element of the games, a good movie needs the characters to have motives behind their actions.

1. A strong 15 or 18 (Or R) Rating, I'm not american. Somehow I just see the producers chickening out of this.

2. Give us some new content not seen in the games, (As long as scott has a part in this, I trust the story will be decent)

Can't really think of anything else, but if it does these things, I'll probably enjoy it.

From what I've seen, one of the greatest reasons why video game-adapted movies always seem to suck is that the actual characters are neglected due to the filmmakers being distracted by the desire to recreate the "environment" of the source meterial. This is a mistake that they absolutely have to avoid in order to turn out a solid product. In fact, it especially applies in this case- you're going from a medium that allowed for one to feel imediate empathy for the protagonist due to acting as him to another where that is impossible.

Well….I only have a few big ones.

1. For it not to pander to the 8-12yr old demographic that only watch the game through PewDiePie and other LPers. Essentially, a more mature but not necessarily "gritty" genuinely scary movie.

2. For the atmosphere to be maintained with a genuine respect for the lore

3. To actually write characters instead of cardboard cutouts

4. Effort. Not a cash cow that will make money because it's popular. Honest effort.
