Does anyone here like Jazz? I do enjoy instrumental jazz a lot, but can't say that I am very knowledgeable in general. So, let's discuss? What are your favorite songs, compositions, bands, albums, sub genres? Any recommendations? Anything jazz related goes.

Art. Blakey.
Man is a drummer legend, and as a past-percussionist he never fails to impress. He and The Jazz Messengers, fine listening all night.
It's not pure jazz but jazz inspired/influenced, so you have an ear for Soul and Rock & Blues, Staple Singers are rather excellent in my book.
And since I'm mentioning soul, I have to bring up Charles Bradley. Powerful and yearning, oh so good.
I was in a school Jazz Band during High School. Played the keyboard, but I'll be honest I never was really good with it. I come from a classical background, so I only learned sheet music, never improvisation. Played some Joplin, but never delved into actual jazz, which is a shame because I do adore the genre.
Is Steely Dan good enough for here? I really like this chill-out song:
Oh, and of course can't forget this classic:

The vocal stuff is not my thing, but I checked Art Blakey and his music is really great! Have been listening to it the whole day.
I had piano lessons for years when I was younger, but I never got that good. I'm more interested in drumming, played for years, some gigs here and there (rock and funky stuff, not Jazz), but same as with the piano I'm mediocre at best. Though, I got introduced to Jazz because of my interest in drumming, Buddy Rich was probably the first who's work I started listening to.
…
I realized I missed the perfect opportunity to insert the "Ya like Jazz" meme in the first post .
One of these days I'll buy a saxophone to try to play this:
It's a shame the video cuts the solo end.
And since OP requested some jazz recommendations, I'll just leave these here:
Say what you want about 4chan and their carcinogen community but I gotta admit they recommend good shit.
The phrase at the beginning and the end of the song with its swaying tropical feel is great. The solos are awesome, and the way the pianist plays off Sonny during his sax solo is neat.
This stitched together zombie (and in full, it's 25 minutes long!) has a super tense atmosphere that sounds like a psychedelic-fueled paranoid trip.
Alien atmosphere with weird blips and sounds everywhere. Sounds like the soundtrack to a burnt-out psychedelic alien movie.
