here's some ECM Third Stream, meditative flowing dreamy jazz as opposed to popular swing jazz or bebop
in love with a ghost always has interesting songs (and titles)

I take it, and I bring folk
EDIT: what interesting choice of sound samples this song has.

Could've used more melody
Here's an obscure non-single track from a well known band that I happened to hear once.
Probably my favourite cover of this song so far.
This is considered as the first recorded bossa nova song by historical notion, and this is my favorite version to listen to. Tom Jobin composed the song originally, with the lyrics written by Vinicius de Moraes, but the first recording of the song was actually sung by Elizete Cardoso.
But in regards to its popularity, the most renown version of the song was actually the second (by chronological order) recording by Joao Gilberto
(Video covers entire album, first song is his recording of "Chega De Saudade" in this album titled likewise)
Bossa nova gives some of the best feelings to me ever since I caught a jazz concert at my college and they did the English version of this song. Singer had a strong Asian accent funnily enough, but I think listening to bossa nova (out of most other genres that could have done this) taught me that music is more than all-encompassing for people to create and enjoy, with no regard to who you might be.

Bossa nova is a underrated genre. It builds upon, breaks away from the jazz form and breathes new life through new instruments contributing and new forms of rhythms. I appreciate bossa nova, but have to admit I'm incredibly new to it. It's homework for me then!
Here's a song from something legendary, for people who have a bit of experience with 40's, 50's, 60's jazz.
Quoting some 4chan anon I saw in a /sharethread/ about this live album's backstory, adds to the experience.
>Holy shit where should I start with this, the all stars, Dizzy in trumpets, Charlie Parker in saxo, Bud Powell in piano, Mingus in bass and Max Roach in drums. Every bit of perfection combined with a crazy story about the concert, where Dizzy and Charlie hated each other, Parker sold his saxo for heroin so he couldn’t play, and some guy borrowed him a shitty as fuck saxo (it was a plastic saxo, tells the legend). The owner and organizer of the concert didn’t want to pay the fair amount of money so Charlie demanded more money for each one of the players, despite being the all stars this concert didn’t sold all the tickets, in fact, it was almost empty. It was still awesome, underrated record, and despite the hate between Dizzy and Parker, both seem to play like the old days when they were still in the same band.
One of my personal favorites.

Neat, might check out that artist sometime in the future.
Some relatively obscure and strange spiritual afro-jazz. You got the works: bass, trumpet, tenor saxo, bari saxo and drums but used in unique ways. Vocals, tuba, cornet and congas a bonus.
'White man is our enemy'-core.
