Is LOL pronounced "Lole" as in Lola Bunny? I'm wondering because I just remembered the "Lollerskates" meme and that word wouldn't work if "LOL" rhymed with "Paul" like I've been pronouncing it since the mid-2000s. Please be gentle.

I always thought it was said like "lull" as in "Lull them to sleep". Lawl being a slang mutation. Granted LOL isnt a word I'd ever say in actual speech and I rarely use LOL online as well.
