I noticed that recently, vulgar words (fuck, porn, etc.) are auto-censored when viewing an image and its notes.
Here are some examples
Why has this change been implemented, and is there a way to roll it back (e.g. is there a toggle where you can remove the censorship, or a way for an image uploader to remove it from specific posts)

Oh FFS. At least the tag is still useable.

My guess is that is an attempt to make the site more "advertised friendly" while making the site less user-friendly. Some words, like well known slurs, I can at least understand that there is a nervous balance between documentation and being able to keep the site running with ad revenue.

I recall years ago a suggestion mods had, years ago asking if there was a way for comments containing certain words would pop up so that we could find them easier. The intent was to for us find said comments easier to see if they were being made by a troll/ problem user or if they would be more or less okay given the context. Admins thought this was a good idea… by completely misinterpreting what was suggested and proposed that comments containing said words would not be allowed to be posted on the site until they were removed. As most of you who just read this are probably thinking, like the mods did, this was not something anyone would really want, as any problem users wishing to circumvent this could simply L33k speak their way out of it, and it would cause issues for legitimate users on the site.

Sheesh, I didn't even notice the tag removal. That's actually even worse as it actively shafts browsing of images by tags.

It's rather bothersome how often the Admins and devs of this site just ignore (or misinterpret as your example shows) the concerns of their own mods, let alone the wider userbase as a whole.

I also found it strange that some tags don't populate. Like cigarettes, for instance. You can't see it, but it's there in the tags. And I place the word in the title to confirm that it is indeed censored.

I would never had thought that this site would follow Fugazi's straight edge philosophy.
