This is a known problem that's been happening on this site as it's a memory leak. Someone pointed out that using an ad blocker prevents this so it has something to do with the ads on here.
On another note, there has already been a thread about this so I'll provide a link to it:

When using AdBlock Plus (from my experience at least) make sure you disable the "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" option. This will resolve the memory leak (for the moment) and should prevent unwanted automatic redirects.
