Regarding Voting on Old Comments

Whee, another thread about votes.

I noticed that you guys started putting a limit on how much you can vote on old comments, which is cool. However, there's no visual indication that you're not able to vote on those comments until you get a javascript alert yelling at you that you can't vote. This is really slow and inconvenient, especially if you accidentally click the vote button. Here's my suggestion:

1. If a post is too old to vote on, either remove the voting buttons entirely or greyscale them out.
2. If this cannot be done, explain how long the voting window is (is it 30 days? 60 days? What counts as an "old post"?)

I know you guys are trying to work out a lot of wrinkles with this system since it causes a lot of issues for your servers, but I hope that my suggestion will be somewhat useful. Thanks for reading!
