Embed Image Titles onto in-gallery previews

pardon the poorly-made image

Pretty simple idea, but it could be useful to users who would browse galleries for a number of reasons. Fan Art often includes the name of the artist in the title, titles can give context for some images that can't be understood without it, and there are certain galleries, such as the Filename Threads gallery, where the title can be half the point of the image.
Also, if this was included, it could inspire image uploaders to give their images good titles, or if there isn't one on an image they see, they could add it themselves.

I'd be tempted to say it would work better above the image or more like a see through overlay on the image, but whatever works best in general.

Even if it wasn't displayed along with the image, a way to view the title without going to the image page itself would be helpful. Special note that mousing over videos on an entry page/gallery will actually give as much of the title as it can. I understand that this is because it can use the "official" title of the video from Youtube, but that just means we should raise standards for titling images, or come up with some kind of uniform method of naming them.
