If you have a VR Headset, please for the love of god get it and play it, it's good.

Has anything been said about a non-VR mode?

I'm in no position to get a VR headset right now and also simply prefer normal mouse and keyboard controls, but there's also no way in Hell I'm missing out on Half-Life anything.

Man I would absolutely love to play it but I just can't afford anything VR related right now. Maybe they'll eventually release a non-VR version with some slightly simplified environmental interactions, but I can already tell that might not happen for a good while as HL Alyx is basically Valve's big killer app for things like Index.

It's good, damn good at that. I didn't really know what to expect, but Valve knocked it out of the park with Alyx. I'm sincerely impressed. This, Boneworks, and the WD: Saints & Sinners are raising the bar for what VR can do, not just gimmicks/minigames, but actually be full fledged titles.

My only issues so far is motion sickness, I have hard time dealing with prolonged sessions. I can manage roughly an hour or so before it becomes too much and I have to take a break.

It's a really cool experience, if you have the chance, and you're a Half Life fan, I highly recommend it.

The fact that Half Life 3 is actually possible now makes me really happy.
