If you don't know tomorrow marks 25 year anniversary of release of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan, and thus start of the franchise. Hence Pokemon company will be doing a Nintendo Direct a presentation. It starts exactly at midnight JST (15:00 GMT) so less than an hour from now on.

People are expecting DPP remakes, but honestly I think its too early. I'm guessing we will get more of the New Pokemon Snap, Chinese DOTA, Pokemon Sleep, ports of several older games (XD, Colloseum etc.), and maybe a new spin off.

- Your usual recap of history of the franchise throughout the years, Honestly it lacked a lot of polish.
- New Pokemon Snap – Please someone stop that voiceover. Photos can be edited and then shared. Available 4/30/21
- Megamax Chungus Pikachu event in Sword and Shield
- Pokemon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond – I guess it wasn't too early. Looks like Link's Awakening remake, but worse. Even ORAS looked better. Developed by ILCA inc instead of Game Freak. Available late 2021
- Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Pokemon Breath of the Wild. Set in ancient Sinnoh. FUCKING OSHAWOTT IS BACK. BEST GAME 10/10. Available early 2022.

Pokemon Legends has some potential, I hope they didn't rush it, because 2022 is a very tight schedule for this sort of project.

Also remember that one line in original Diamond & Pearl where people in ancient Sinnoh used to marry their Pokemon? I do.

Well that was a VERY pleasant suprise

I expected the sinnoh remakes but i did not expect then to be so close to the original(chibi character models and no thind person) IF iam right and they are esentually the same games but with different graphics and extra content (like with the ORAS) then we may have been wrong with our fears (i hope so)

Legends is VERY intriguing the whole premise sounds awesome and Utunomiya talking about that it was made with the intent of "breaking new ground" makes me even more intrugued and the back of my head tells me that it could potentially have interasting lore revelations but i try to stay skeptical (dodge rolls!)
