The Treasure Planet, also known as Bulgarian Treasure Planet is a Bulgarian-animated science fiction film that is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.^[1] The film has earned notoriety for its animation quality, as well as its English dub.

Origin

The film first released in Bulgaria on May 27th, 1982, and the film's English dub was released in the United States on July 1st, 1983.^[2]

Spread

On August 13th, 2022, YouTube user Saberspark covered the English dub of the film. The video (shown below) received over 499,000 views in over six months.
