The legend of Alpha Joe originated in a /b/ thread on 4Chan when the OP of a thread stated,
"This fucking faggot slept with my girlfriend after being on a break for one day, and the other day he smiled at me like he wanted to to piss me off,
ruin him please /b/ros"
And posted his twitter and Facebook name on the thread. Over the next hour, /b/ros criticized OP for being "beta" and saying that the other man, Joe Darnbrough, was "alpha" and that the real blame lie with his girlfriend.
Soon, people began screencapping and posting to Joe's twitter, where he asked for a link to the thread. one anon coined the term, "Alpha Joe" and soon, "#alphajoe" and "Alpha Joe for President" flooded the thread as anons praised him.
