Double Entendre Ryo is a meme based on the lead character from Shenmue a video game for the Sega Dreamcast.

While considered to be one of the better games on the Dreamcast, the voiceover acting in the English-speaking version was sometimes disjointed. Direct translations meant that choices of wording in character conversation was occasionally hilarious, as in this example Youtube video. The lead character, a very serious young man on a quest to avenge the death of his father had a habit of making double meanings with a deadly straight expression and without having any awareness of them.

This meme uses the straight face of Ryo to show that the quoted speech was said with no knowledge of the extremely obvious double meaning.
