The Elon Musk and Tiffany Fong Love Rumor and X Premium Controversy refers to viral speculation that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has a crush on Twitter / X user and right-wing pundit Tiffany Fong (@TiffanyFong_). The rumor surfaced in November 2024 when Fong claimed to have made over $21,000 over two weeks from X Premium, also known as Twitter Blue. Many believed that Musk had rigged X Premium in Fong's favor to promote the subscription service, as well as win her over. In early December 2024, people then alleged that Tiffany Fong was an escort or prostitute. Soon after, Musk unfollowed Fong on X, leading to more discourse, memes and speculation.

Origin

Elon Musk first replied to Tiffany Fong on July 9th, 2023.^[1] Going into late 2024, Elon Musk replied to Tiffany Fong on multiple occasions.^[2]

On November 22nd, 2024, Fong posted a tweet^[3] reading, "Oh my god I love 𝕏 so much. I’m so grateful. 😭," attaching a screenshot of her earnings via X Premium over two weeks in November that equated to more than $21,000. The tweet received over 26.3 million views and 23,000 likes in 10 days (shown below).

The abovementioned tweet was quote tweeted by many users in the following days. Many users on X^[4][5] thought that Fong was lying about her earnings.

On November 25th, 2024, X^[10] user @djcows posted a Photoshop of Elon Musk and Tiffany Fong having a baby represented by Yi Long Ma (also known as Chinese Elon Musk), gaining over 9,800 likes in a week. Musk replied to the post on X^[11] with a 😂 emoji (shown below).

Spread

On November 26th, 2024, X^[7] user @djcows posted an AI-generated image of Elon Musk and Tiffany Fong as American Western lovers, gaining over 6,300 likes in six days. Elon Musk replied to the post on X^[8][9] twice, both times with a 😂 emoji (example shown below).

On November 27th, 2024, X^[6] user @NebsGoodTakes quote tweeted Fong's post, speculating that, "Elon has been paying this woman an obscene amount of money via Twitter Blue (20k isn't even remotely achievable for big accounts) in an attempt to not only make the subscription seem more lucrative than it actually is, but also to probably sleep with her." The post received over 147,000 likes in five days (shown below).

On November 27th, X^[11] user @chiweethedog tweeted screenshots of the thread on X^[9] between Musk and @djcows, captioning it, "???" receiving over 6,300 likes in five days.

On December 2nd, 2024, X^[12] user @ahitposter tweeted a fake Polymarket screenshot of a page called, "Elon Musk to impregnate Tiffany Fong in 2024?" The tweet received over 5,100 likes in less than a day (shown below).

Escort / Sex Worker Allegation

On December 1st, 2024, X user @0xPompadous (since-deleted) posted screenshots allegedly from an escort website showing a woman who they claimed appeared to be Tiffany Fong under the username asiandoll. The tweet received over 5,800 likes before @0xPompadous' account was removed (shown below).

The abovementioned screenshot was posted by X^[15] user @ruffivn on December 2nd, who said, "This dude
@0xPompadous exposed @TiffanyFong_ being an escort yesterday now his account is erased," gaining over 870 likes in less than a day.

Elon Musk Unfollowing Tiffany Fong

On December 2nd, 2024, X^[13] user @BigTechAlert tweeted that Elon Musk was no longer following Tiffany Fong, gaining over 10,000 likes in four hours (shown below).

Users started joking about the development soon after, like X^[14] user @brndxix who quote tweeted @BigTechAlert on December 2nd, writing, "Oh yea she definitely told him no LMFAOOOOOO," amassing over 50,000 likes in four hours (shown below).

On December 2nd, 2024, the X^[16] account @AFpost speculated that Musk unfollowed Fong because she was an alleged prostitute, gaining over 3,100 likes in less than a day (shown below).
