Fortnite Code 2023 The Game Awards refers to code to accessing The Game Awards special map on Fortnite that coincidentally have similarity with Indonesian phone number named Tajudin. That makes his phone always ringing and many people asking the code to him.

Background

On December 7th, 2023, The Game Awards 2023 was started^[1]. In one session, Canadian video game journalist, Geoff Keighley was appeared in one session then shared the Fortnite code to accessing The Game Awards special map in the game (clip shown below).

Developments

Indonesians who watched The Game Awards realized that the Fortnite code have similarity with regular Indonesian phone number. For example on December 8th, 2023, Facebook^[2] page WIBU KANG BEGAL MK.1 uploaded photo of search results of the owner phone number by using Get Contact that identified as a man named Tajudin who worked as a contractor. The post received more than 2,000 reactions and 1,500 shares in four days. On the same day, X^[3] user @andhikaqwerty reposted the image and received more than 1,300 reposts and 6,000 likes in four days (shown below).

On the same day, Tajudin, who owned the phone number, through his Facebook^[4] and X^[5] uploaded post about his reaction when his phone number has been used as Fortnite code, he also clarified that he didn't know anything about the award and the game. The post received more than 6,000 reactions and 4,400 shares, and 1,700 reposts and 3,600 likes in four days, respectively (shown below, left and right).

Online Reactions

Later, many Indonesians creating memes imagining Tajudin's reactions when his phone number gained popular by Fortnite code. For example on December 8th, 2023, Facebook^[6] user Khiro Hito uploaded a meme imagining Tajudin's reaction when his name on the Get Contact has been changed to names that related to The Game Awards. The post received more than 2,000 reactions and 196 shares in four days (shown below, left). On the same day, Indonesian webcomic "GHOSTY's COMIC" uploaded a comic about Tajudin's reactions when his received a call that asking Fortnite code to him. The post received more than 2,800 reactions and 392 shares in four days (shown below, right).
