On December 20th, 2024 TikToker[1] and vocal coach @jodielangel posted a video about getting rid of "vocal cracks," where she teaches a young student to belt out the words "right finger" by saying "Raise your ya ya ya." The video gathered over 150 million views and 17 million likes in nine days.

On December 21st, 2024 Twitter / Xuser @magdalenepop[2] reposted the video, gathering over 58,000 likes on a post that read, "me announcing the best song on cowboy carter." On December 22nd, X[3] user @_uncle_gworl quoted the video, writing, "this is like watching those evangelical pastors heal a disabled person," gathering over 120,000 likes in a week.

Several TikTokers also posted videos mimicking and lip-syncing the video, including @harrison_lane03,[4] who gathered over 1.6 million views and 180,000 likes on a video with a text overlay that read, "When your sister finally gets to go to college and you have to teach her how to act normal."
On December 24th, TikToker[5] @meemawmason posted a video with a text overlay that read, "the moment I realized I could raise my YA YA YA 💜," gathering over 4 million plays and 700,000 likes in five days.
