Originating from the popular 2003 Anime "Fullmetal Alchemist" and its 2007 predecessor "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood"; this meme is based on an over-exuberant, over-the-top alchemist know as Alex Louis Armstrong.
As well as being incredibly muscular, tall, and crowed with a single strand of Blonde hair and a manly Moustache; Armstrong is known for his catchphrase:
"This technique has been passed down the Armstrong (family) line for generations!"
The phrase can accompany any media, as long as it is patriotic, over-the-top and manly.
