On February 6th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @AliHaid64874132 tweeted the earliest available version of the picture with the caption, "Freelancer's life" (shown below).

On February 9th, Twitter^[6] user @nah_im_abdulla tweeted the image and the caption, "hold on, babe. new Kangana copypasta just dropped."." Within two days, the tweet received more than 1,200 likes and 100 retweets (shown below).

That day, on February 9th, 2021, Twitter^[2] user @albertkamuh tweeted the image and the caption, "hold on babe let me check my Twitter notifications first." Within two days, the tweet received more than 360 likes (shown below, left).

Throughout the week, people continued to share the image with variations of the "hold on babe" meme format. For example, Twitter^[3] user @shinigamihelloh tweeted the image with the caption, "hold on babe, let me delete my search history" (shown below, center). Twitter^[4] user @ghammmhours tweeted, "hold on babe let me make one more dancing frog video" (shown below, right).
