The original meme was formed on the popular site named 4chan, specifically /b/ on the 24th February, 2013. It was formed when someone posted a thread that he used a spy camera to take pictures of other people. When asked about these certain pictures, he then misinformed the other users saying "I threw was my pen" and so then the meme exploded from there.

Many threads were to be made about it, including hilarious contexts. The meme was originally brought by placing it over other memes, as stated before in hilarious or funny contexts, or just how the meme shouldn't be in which makes it what it is. It were to be known as the hilarious but bad meme by many, and by others, as not hilarious. Many a laughs were to be gotten that day.
