Kue the Dinosaur was discovered in 2012 on DeviantART, originally being mistaken for a dragon. He gained popularity through Facebook, his facial expression attracting fans to edit the image in their own unique way. The edited pictures, along with the unedited picture, were often set as profile pictures and used as a mfw expression.
The continuous amount of fans grew rapidly, and the original founder, Fayzon "Toasty" O'Brien, created a group known as "Cult Of Dinosaurs," where fellow Kue followers could share their fanart.
Today, Kue is still sparsely shared throughout the community. Users who enjoy the art are urged to join Cult Of Dinosaurs.
